Low Speed Conroe, could be the next 2.4C :) (E6300)

Will it really be the next 2.4c?

the production CPU will only have 2MB of cache, but still I agree on the overclocking part. I'm not at all convinced that the extra 2MB chache will be a huge advantage, although it is an interesting strategy for the high end chips to have more cache, means you get mroe than jsut a higher multiplier for your money.

Also, all these conroes floating around makes me happy , this is an A1 revisions I see, I hear talk of a B0 revisions as well, does anyone know what revision Conroe/Woodcrest will launch at in Q3, would be interesting to see how these pre-release revisions stack up against the final product in terms of overclocking and such.

ouch... thank you buddy ^^ up to now i thought the 2mb CPUs would be Single Core!

kehkeh ^^ i love Cheap OC... so i'll watch out for some of those 2mb Modells and oc it till it burns *evillol*
Notice any grammar or spelling mistakes? Feel free to correct me! Thanks

Well, the low multiplier will definitely be a problem.

Even if you hit a 400Mhz FSB, you are still only at 2.80Ghz.

Still, a Conroe at 2.80Ghz is nothing to scuff at

The low multiplier will really try to saturate the FSB ...

    E6300 is 4m L2cache? or 2m?

    that's confusing me.

If the E4200 could clock to 400Mhz FSB, it would be quite the little beast.

3.20Ghz from a $169 chip would be wicked

Well it's just speculations what you guys says about the final product and how much cache it's going to have. None except Intel knows for sure.

just speculation?, these chips are already being mass produced as we speak to get the volumes ready for their release in 2 months, and the specs have been posted by 20 differnet reputable sites, I'd say its a whole lot more than jsut speculation.

This will probably be one I will get just to try pushing... It should be like an 805... If you have a board that can do the 1333 FSB and you push this up to there...

Wait... I mean I wanted the E4300... the 1.8Ghz. What I really want is to get a 3.0Ghz Conroe... I have a 3.0 P4 single core... So to get a 3.0Ghz Dual Conroe and push it to 4.0 (like this one) that would be awesome...
