    40k 3dmark03 with Intel 975i and 7900GTX SLi

Big Sam just got his 7900GTX cards and has sent this link

    http://www.steffbard.com/forum/viewt...asc&highlight=

Very nice work Sam considering you only got them this morning.

I'm sure with Conroe around the corner and a lot of new motherboards you will be putting a lot of big scores up in the coming months.

That's incredible...975 and only single core (okay, this is 03--loves Intel and cares more about memory bandwidth than CPU MHz or cores, I know)....and only on air....wow.

How'd he get it to work so well on 975?

    SLI on a 975 Board?

    How?

modded.... drivers from china.... that he won't share...

    ok, whatever.
for a moment I thought this was real.
fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me...

    reminds of that post...

hey look, DDR 617 at cas 2-2-2-5-1T at 4.05 volts 1M stable...

great, can you show us some more info...

oh I would, but uh.. .that ram was my friends, and I don't have it anymore, infact... its dead, so I can't, sorry.

I am not saying he's a liar, he obviously wasn't when they got the 6600 GT's to work...

but so far, I either its exceptionally petty to have drivers that do work, then never let anyone use them...
    or, he's pulling my leg.

at the moment, I am inclined to think both are the case.

gonna have to agree to kunaak even the numbers are really impressive it is kinda strange thing how he did it.
If a driver mod would be possible I'm sure we would have seen it somewhere else. And if he really got one and does not share it - kill him and grab the driver, I'll spread it all over the world (I'm experienced in that hrhr)

    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=4757334

And drivers used are 84.24 -of course modded to remove NVidia`s "security" for enabling SLI on different chipsets

    Nice work Big_Sam

one serious question: isn't it the case that modified drivers will not be recognized on the orb?
or is the orb just looking for the version number not if the driver is original or not?

Just look for yourself - it`s WHQL and FM aprooved. Otherwise it would be marked as not aprooved drivers, isn`t it ?

Where can I find such a mod? I already have the chipset EXE that was forceably removed a few weeks back by the green machine.

I am looking to possibly upgrading to conroe, but having 2x 7900GTX I will need something like this to run them both on the Intel chipset.

    Cheers

I saw it and this is what wondered me - is it a "special" modded driver now or not? If he is the only one having it this is kinda ridiculous competition imo.

    Greetings guys!
Today business go better. I have taken for tests the first got dual core processor (thanks to my friends from http://www.cross-chel.ru/ ) and here that has turned out:

    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=4758746

I have made only two attempts. First time on 5100, but right at the end of the test comp has hung. I think that I know in what direction it is necessary to work.

    Nice job sam.

I would tend to say these are recognized by the orb becuase its like running W1zzards patch to turn 9500n/ps into 9700s.

Although I can't wait until someone can share them with the rest of us

Something tells me it`s not just drivers. IMO drivers are completly untouched. Some OS/HW tweaks
