    Guys

Remember its an ES CPU and a beta bios on a beta board, the fact is without more vcore he can't clock much higher...and being an Intel board it may have limitations also.

I was talking on SKYPE with Kris as he was getting close, it seems memory tweaking got him some extra points as he only needed possibly 1FPS more to take the record...overall a job well done.

Im sure vmods will next to the mobo then we will see just how strong the cpu can be.

One last thing, by the noise his fans were making he was using air cooling, stock X1900 heatsinks with the fans on full chat are real noisey.
Got a problem with your OCZ product....?

Great job. I can't wait to see freecableguy breaking all the world records soon!
The next time you're having a bad day, imagine this:
    You're a siamese twin.
Your brother, attached at your shoulder, is gay.
    You're not.
He has a date coming over tonight.
    You only have one ass.

wasn't Dothan or Yonah supposed to push AMD to the bottom?????

don't count chickens until they are hatched.

mobo restrictions and what if there is a cold bug??? What if AM2 doesn't have cold bug ???

too many "what if's" other than Conroe looks to be a great CPU to match or rival AMD and take away the domination that lasted 3 1/2 yrs.

Very nice job future is looking bright ***puts on shades***

this is xtremesystems.org, and currently, fcg owns, not intel, not ati

if you really want to talk about something, talk about why it took intel so long to take the crown, and how long you think they'll hold it, this is the only comparrison needed to be made HERE

you want to compare bang/buck, go to ocforums, where the flame wars are un-impeded

    and congrats fcg, un-freakingbelievable

nice oc and awesome results in air cooling freecableguy
but it seems kingpin's FX60 cpu score is a bit low for the frequency : I did 15374pts with my Opteron 146 @ 3254MHz (chilled)

Without wanting to sound like Im getting at FCG, it would've been nice to have this information before.

I've seen plenty of people asking for information about what the limitations currently were, why he wasn't clocking the Conroe higher etc, and all of these requests have been completely ignored.

We can all make blind assumptions about the kit being used, etc but not having this simple information digesting all this information difficult. I still don't know, for example, whether the Conroe ES chips actually have unlocked multipliers or not (I guess they don't if FCG is still pushing FSB to get higher).

Not taking anything away from what is a great achievement - but this smoke and mirrors policy that a few lucky people with this kit seem to employ sometimes is quite frustrating.

A question concerning the L2-cache of the E6400:

Is it really 4MB? Most sites around the web talk of 2MB shared L2. Only E6600 and E6700 are supposed to have 4MB.

I'd like to see how Conroe scales compared to the Athlon.
It looks impressive, but I've seen it all happen before. I'll have to see it to believe it.

You must remember that he can only say what intel tells him he can if he were to say more then intel would take there toys back and give them to some one else

anyhow congrats on the wr FCG

This is his second thread FCG started in the first one he mentioned his motherboard is restricting him..How much we dont know..Ask yourself this..If you did know..what can u do about it ?

Also in the beginning of this thread some guy mentioned Motherboard Restrictions FOUND IT..First Page

2 things. why haven't you gone higher then 2.72 as you obviously can...and...an amd dual core @ 2.72ghz gets a cpu score of somethign like 13k am I right? or what is it? thanks

edit: just noticed mobo restriction...roger that
Guyz plz leave this OLD TECH NEW TECH ALONE its OLD !

How do u think a World Record works ? Must this Conroe wait for AM2 or whatever comes out to get the World Record behind him...

congrats..... gonna be hard for AMD to win this round. We might see 200,000 in AM3 by the end of the year.
The little air system that could.
