OMEGA says that this jumper J1 is related to Vcore.
He found that J1 5-6 setting causes Vcore up(about +0.2V),
but this function works only at BIOS Vcore setting under 1.3V, he says.
I've not confirmed it myself, but Vigor says that he got same result.

my guess it's the temp that's holding us back, installed watercooling (due to my mounting for Phase change doesn't fit) and gained 2 fsb in validation.

so, how is this possible ?
    never heard about that....

    don't know, maybe a bad cpu ?
others have to test this too, not just air ===> phase.

If it's getting better under cold it's just a non-coldbug, AMD's HTT gets worse when chilled.
Anyway i'll stay at the point that these chips are designed to as less power as possible, by reducing FSB speed you can make the FSB part use less power. You can say the board is crap or yonah is crap, well, just keep in mind Yonah is designed as a laptop cpu. When you blame intel or Aopen well it isn't really fair. Ofcourse it a pain in the ass ! But when it's a fault of the motherboard (I don't think it to be honest, just because of the fact it seems very cpu dependent) you can blame Aopen. For now, well it just sucks ! But still a Yonah at 2xx mhz FSB is still hell fast

OK, I've noticed these cpu's to be a little erratic. They'll run to one speed at a certain time, and then they won't do it a second time. While I can boot at 3+G most every time, there are times where I can't even make it past the bios screen. It seems to me, if I can reach the speed, it will at least be able to finish a 1m run (except for one time). I played a bit more with the chip and it looks as if the newest bios helps a bit. When I mount the autocascade, I'm expecting much better numbers since I'm hoping the NB will freeze over Still on stock aluminum heatsink:

I've hit a solid wall @ 263 fsb on my modded prom.
    262 = stable, 263 instant freeze

mounting could be better though, will look at it in the weekend.

    results for now :

So, max FSB depends of the cpu temps ?
Can you try max FSB with 10X multi please ?

    looks like it...
I've tested with air, water and phase change, when temperature drops, fsb goes up.
so this means the board is fine, cpu is the limited factor....
