    Doesn't really show anything. I can make a website...list 30 processors that are yet to be tested and you'd think "they're coming".

    Plus, AM2 is nothing to be hyped about. It's just a socket 939 with a new memory controller. Nothing more.

    Yep, that's the reason I asked. :thumbsup:

    They must be something else, or prices need to settle....
    Maybe low voltage versions?

    hopefully its the low power versions. actually, it makes sense that theyre the low power versions cause amd stopped selling oem processors, at least officially.

    Current 939 OEM's are more expensive than retail box.. only reason to buy is if you know it's gonna be a good stepping, or you get a coupon like monarch does

    Not a bad question.
    S939 Semprons DO have support for Dual channel, so AM2 Semprons probably will have support also.

    Hmm i didnt knew that there are skt 939 semprons, i tought they were on skt 754 only, am i missing something ? Now these am2 semps prices look very tempting, am2 mobos may cost more than skt 754 ones, but at the same time ddr2 is cheaper than ddr1. Tnx for answersing btw

    maybe OEM (tray) CPus cost more in the USA but overhere a Tray CPu is cheaper then a boxed one.

    by how much depends on the CPU the more expensive the CPu the bigger the difrence.
    Example:
    a X2 3800+ tray is 38 euro cheaper then the boxed.

    about half a year ago overhere OEMs were also more expensive then BOX but last few months it has changed.

    @Tonucci
    dunno if it has changed but asfar as i know socket 939 Smeprons are only used by the larger OEMs and arent sold in stores (ul only fidn em in HP PCs etc)

    Maybe they got the part codes mixed up so all the OEMs were listed as BOX

    <Aleph-One>I believe they are a fabrication. Most of the evidence would suggest that they were created in a studio during the Cold War to display our industrial superiority over the Soviet Union.
