w00t I discovered how to turn off RAID. You set in the bios for IDE and SATA2 to be disabled, and they remain enabled and RAID gets disabled. 
The boot order still seems completely unpredictable. Ok I can't figure out at all how to get it to boot from HDD.
It's HDD, HDD, HDD - all it does is Boot from CD..., Boot from CD..., then does the LAN thing...wtf???
