3,1ghz as you can see in the capture

I tried too the 64bit version

    I used Windows 2003 server 64bit.

Currently available in Australia we have:

    LDBHE 0603
    LDBHE 0609
    LDBFE 0610

Waiting to get a few more before I dive in though. :/

EDIT: How can you tell the difference between E4 and E6 by the stepping information?

I see all this talk of "vapour chill" cpu cooler , could some1 explain this ?
I heard a rumor that it is pipe-based with a low boiling-point liquid inside...
    is this correct?

    Hi and welcome seanx,

Yes, this is phase-change cooling, just like proper aircon. Asetek are currently the only manufacturers of phase cooling kit for PCs afaik, their site is:

    http://www.vapochill.com/

    Enjoy.

maybe he means their micro cooler

    http://www.burnoutpc.com/modules/wfs...?articleid=213

I guess he could mean either lol

Does anybody know if the 3800+ CBBLE 0513CPDW overclocks very good? I now have a 3800+ that does 2700 mhz @ 1.67 under WC so I am looking for a better one.

    Penny for your thoughts

Yes I did mean the "micro" version ty lawrywild ,
but I hear they r not that good , probably best for the price is
    thermaltake big typhoon ..!

I am curious about a few things in my bios
hammer Fid control and hammer Vid control ? wot r these about ?

A few pics should be attached , got clock to 2530Mhz using 11x230htt
at almost stock volts 1.312 , the highest cpu temp is 59*C
    cpu id is
    ADA4200AA58V
    LDBHE
    D601SPMW

and the stepping (?) is BH-E4

    I have noticed a couple of x2 3800 s' have this same id ?
I'll need a better powersupply (getting this soon) and hopefully better
cooling (don't know when) Tt big typhoon etc...
then maybe can do better O'clocks , ambient temps r high in zimbabwe
    africa , around 25-35*C

    FID is the multiplier, yours is stock 11 (i.e. 11x200 = 2200mhz)
VID is the vcore, yours is stock 1.35v but I wouldn't recommend you up that until your get better cooling because 59'C is extremely hot already.

    ty dude :-) ,

well the 59'C was during a cpu intensive test sp2004 (on both cores)
just finished playing a whole lot of games(5hrs) the last being BF2
and temp only 41'C . (which is standard)
btw my stock vcore is only 1.31

This is temporary ,need to tune my vapor/phase cooling better

But for now i am running it om 3.1ghz daily

    seems stable at 236 x 11 = 2596 @ 1.312v (in bios it is 1.35v)
    ram @2.65volts and 166mhz timings 2.5,3,3,7 =185mhz ,I think cpu-z under reads voltage a bit.

since then tried pushing largefft (sp2004) and the 1st core failed immediately?
am I supposed to run it same as the small fft cpu test ? i.e
set 2 instances of sp2004 one to each core , select large FFT 's and start?
I heard that with prime95, in order to test memory , 2 separate folders r
required .....? does this hold true for sp2004 large FFT , or is there some
    other glitch?

btw been reading from page1 , and currently upto page27 lol ;-).

p.s is Tt big typhoon better than zalman9500 ?

btw why is it that some ppl with 4200+ / 4400+ use the 10 x multiplier ?
since the default is 11x , surely the lower ur htt and the higher ur multiplier
    the better ?
p.s I am very new to this x2 O'clockin , so pls excuse the ignorance ....

Lower HTT is not necessarily better. You can "tune" HTT to RAM using lower multis. For instance, with my 4600+, I'm running 250 x 12 and my RAM is happy at 250 1:1. But, if I could clock my RAM up to, say, 275 (it does 270), I could set 273 x 11 for the same CPU speed and get the benefit of higher memory bandwidth. Theoretically, I'd be better off with 300 x 10 and the RAM on a 180 divider for 270, but in fact it puts the RAM at 272 which is more than it can handle.

It pays to fool around with lower multis sometimes.

thanks stonecoldJimi , however I don't understand about ram divider ?
I have heard a lot of ppl say they r using divider ... but haven't managed
    to glean anything from it.

I know that if htt = 230 , then ram = 230mhz (mostly ) how does this apply to
    the ram divider ?

Baron, that's the newest stepping I've seen. Post results as you get 'em please.

    @ seanx

RAM divider is exactly that. Commonly you can do 5/6 x HTT, 2/3 x HTT, 1/2 x HTT. Look in the BIOS for this.

Ful specs if ya want em.

    X2 3800 @ 2.2
    DFI LanParty UT NF4 SLI-D
    OCZ 2GB PC3200 Dual Channel Platinum Series EL-DDR CAS2 (CL 2-3-2-5)
PowerColor ATI Radeon X1800 XT 512MB ( couldnt be bothered waiting for the 7900GTs to get in stock)
    Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro
    Antec P180

note: im a poor high school student, so if anybody wants to send me (FREE OBVISOLY) some kind of water cooling kit or phase change cooling kit feel free to do so

update on my try at overclocking ;-) set multiplier to 10x250htt ,1.296v(cpu-z) ram@auto,(208mhz = 2.5/3/3/7)Infineon and now seems to be running sp2004 largeFFT just peachy :-) temps at 54'C stable I guess those that recommended 10x multi were very right in saying it could be more stable!
Will look for the HTT divider option....
p.s I am super impressed with the low (54*C) temps

    just some pics ,

btw how important is ram voltage when o'clocking ?
    I normally run my ram(infineon) @2.65v ,
I pit some heatspreaders on , could I push them up a bit ? will it help
    ram stability / overclocking ?
