you should try to strap a stock amd cooler on there...keeps my xtx in the low 60's under full load

xtx's put out waaaay more heat than the x800

i provided a link for that mod too...ivanandreevich posted up pics in the link i provided (in my "review" link)

its free if you already have the stock amd sink and should keep it in the 40s or low 50s

height is also not an issue

also, the evercool cooler is not garbage...its just not capable of handling the heat outputted by the x1x00 series. i bent the heatpipes so they no longer block ramsinks as well.

I never had a stock a64 cooler but looking at ebay it seems I can get one for under $10.

get the one with heatpipes (comes with dual core or opterons)

many say it performs pretty close to xp90 (non-cu)

problem is there are no 4 heatpipe coolers on ebay, only a few 2 pipe coolers.
