    Over at ocforums, several people that ave this combo are also topping out at 180-190 FSB.

    I just got mine to boot @ 3.8.

    Still not bad results for a dual core cpu that only costs $140 us, and a mobo that cost $82 us.

    Cheap but still does the job.

    The 805 is by far the best bang for your buck cpu out period. With the low FSB, I bet on any 945 board you see 4.0GHZ I almost want to buy one to test and have some fun. Try something different from my Opteron 165 and amd chips in general. Been with AMD snice the sub 1GHZ Tbird days.

    Just put together my P5P800SE/805D last night... together with K8N Neo2 Platinum/X2 3800+.. ("shootout").
    So far I've got the Intel rig use/bench-stable at 185x20=3.7Ghz@1.45VCore (Bios). VCore fluctuates quite a lot.. and the board undervolts.. 1.35-1.42 during idle.. that drops under full load (sometimes below 1.3).
    EDIT:
    After installing watercooling max. clock is no more than 3.3Ghz.. :-( . This may be caused by overheating mosfets (no cooling/heatsinks provided by Asus).

    My X2 runs at 2.6Ghz but not stable (problem with 3D/chrashes in 3Dmark/PCMark). Curiosly it runs dual prime rockstable..
    It performs better @ 2.6 than 805D @ 3.7 but not by much though..
    EDIT: After reinstalling ATI drivers.. everything works perfect... max. stable clock is 2.64Ghz

    "PP-wise" (Performance-Price) the P5P800SE/805D can't be beat as an entry to a dual rig.. if you've got a good AGP-card and some good DDR1-sticks..

    EDIT:
    My preliminary conclusion is that this board (P5P800 SE) is not a good choise for serious overclocking.. but the price is such that it can be accepted..

    Technically that isn`t undervolting.

    Intel specs for D805 IS 1.2V min ~ 1.4v max

    But I know what you mean by the board dropping underload.
    Mine stays around 1.35v @ stock (voltage set on Auto)...and drops to 1.28v underload.

    Edit: I just realized your talking about undervolting from what you set it in BIOS.

    Mine does that too. To get a steady voltage of 1.4v you have to jack it up to 1.45v~ 1.5v in bios.
