Yes I'm in UK, sorry should've mentioned. It may be that its just a plain 9600 anyway (if such a thing exists IDK), having never used it I'm not sure. Even if it is the right model I'm happy to use one of your cards Highland3r.

boy this is depressing, i realllyyy wanna get in on the competition but i can't because i don't have any money to spend besides on school. I have a 9700pro but obviously thats out of any categories.

Do we have to run all four benchmarks (2001, 2003, 2005 and Aquamark) before and after overclocking or can we just choose one benchmark i.e just 2001, just 2003 etc?

It'll be all of the marks.
(tho maybe not 05, depends how crap the cards are in it... thinking powerpoint slideshow might be faster/more bearable....)

I know this means multiple OS's if you taking it seriously.... but want to give the less experienced members a taste

Happily, the NF7 is vdimm modded (i can use BH5 ) and the 1800 is a dlt3c.

I don't think it’s calculated much on the boards / cpu / ram anyway, its the actual % over clock of the card I think

I've put together a sempron 2800+ system, on a colourful but seriously budget gigabyte board. And once its given the 9600 a damn good thrashing I can add it to the mini-farm I'm slowly constructing

Doesn't really matter on the cpu / mobo / ram sadly as the % over clock is calculated differently.

why dont you compare a card overclocked in a 8x slot to a 4x slot, i think the results should be different, although stock should be closer

and dfi has good voltage imo, so would be good for clocking the card

doesnt matter anyway as apparently i cant enter, oh well, ill be in for the next one as long as it is air/water/other seperated.....cant afford the latter lol

Here are the volt mods for the cards. Only Vdd and Vgpu can be modded on the cards.

Vgpu: Connect a 10k VR between the point marked and ground. Decrease resistance to increase voltage. Vgpu can be read from the point on the inductor marked.

Vdd: Connect a 5k (or 10k) Vr between the point marked and ground. Decrease resistance to increase voltage. Vdd can be read from the marked MOSFET leg on the back of the card.
