865pe: You got amazing temps for 3050. Are you topless?

I'm afraid to ask what your idle temps are like.

    WOW, just WOW

Upgraded my water cooling, the chip from ben is now 39C full load @ 1.4v instead of 48+!

Just incredible. Not yet tested for further stability.

You need to check Vcore w/ DMM

Vcore maybe up to .05 or more that you think, might explain high load temp. Both of mine (170 VPMW) are 40c or less @ 3.05 Ghz, pair of GBHZ running rosetta )

(But yes, still great CPU )

This is a great CPU so far. Idles kinda hot @ 34C and Loads @ 47C.

Hopefully, burn-in will bring that down.

    hi guys.

i wanna buy the OPteron 165 but the thing that makes me worry is the opteron 165 like the High FSB 1:1 with tight rams 2-2-2-5 ( BH5-UTT)

Until now all isee is ppl doing HIgh CPU but ram @ 200 @ 2-2-2-5 OR high FSB like 250 1:1 @ 2.5-3-3-8.

    i want to confirm this

    thanx for the help

You don't need 1:1. Its okay to use a divider with A64 chips (Opterons). Most people are running very high HTT with dividers becuase the performance of 1:1 vs divider is not that great.

i know its ok to use 5:4 divider .... but thats not what i need to know..

all i need to Confirm is ok to run 250 Fsb @2-2-2-5-7 with the Opteron 165?? like lets say 9x250 fsb @ 2-2-2-5

iam worred about the Opterons may not work perfectly with Tights rams like BH5/UTT Ram (2-2-2-5) @ 250 FSB
