    Unhappy ASUS A8N-SLI premium request bios

    Hy Guys...

    The a8n-sli asus mobos have a very big problem in this crazy world of machines...the Vcore is very slow...There is a lot of people posting in a lot of forum crying for an vcore increase, or, on the other hand, an unhide of all posible options to do a decent OC.

    Would it be possile to mod an A8N-SLI Premium bios, to get back the 1.65 vcore max that was taken away in all new BIOS revision?

    This is the last official version:
    http://dlsvr01.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/...m/A8NSP009.zip

    and this the last beta:
    http://dlsvr01.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/...m/1011-006.zip
    anyone can kill the beast?

    Please help me and a lot of owners of this mobo...who make it possible (at least anything) would be the boss for all us!

    Thanks in advance an sorry for my poor english.

    Best wishes...Rob

    0406 DFI NF4 bios files, all 3 in one zip
    VE = venus
    EX = Expert
    last one is old skool NF4

    Added option for "odd divisor correct" removed write cas latency (fixed at 1)
    Added hidden options for VE and EX Vdimm to over 4V and chipset to 2V
    Relaxed all timings as per BTA bios files for ease at boot, CPC2T etc, should be boot friendly with most dimms.

    TRAS may report 0 on reboot, set optimised defaults and reboot back to bios and it should set 8.

    I have the Venus loaded here and its clocking real nice, remember this is 3rd party so no warranty off me, DFI or OCZ, use at your own risk.

    THANK YOU!

    Two questions, what exactly is the odd divisor correct, not sure its what i think it is?

    And for the dram drive strength they are listed as "weak" and "normal" but then there is one that is "level 7"?

    As of today is this the most current? I searched through here quite a bit, so sorry if I missed something.

    The BIOS i'm using right now on my DFI UT NF4 Ultra-D is from 4/14/05. I have no problems with it, other than the fans cranking to high when coming back from Stand By. I have to restart the computer for the fans to throttle back down. Was this ever fixed?

    Thanks
