I'm not gonna brag about us (DPC) owning you (XS) guys. Last stampede (Find-a-Drug) was a bit of a disappointment. We just managed to do 4-5 times as much as normal, instead of the 8-10 we hoped for. But it seems a lot of people at DPC are itching to do another stampede Anyway, if you want to know what DPC is capable of doing with a stampede, you should ask the guys at Free-DC

Now let's see if I can get my 22 GHz of folding-power switched to R@H
Let's see, I think I have a few P4 3.0 HTs around the office somewhere that I can put on Rosetta to match your 22 GHz of 'folding power'. Consider yourself neutralized. Next please.

I left the optimized files on three 3GHz P4 HTs. Ban me.

While I have respect for what DPC has contributed and has accomplished, just keep in mind that DPC is rounding up its members to focus on one project, R@H. You don't see XS R@H Team rounding up all the DIMEerS and the F@H players to try and catch up to your production. We are ahead in daily average and running you guys down at a rate that would make even the most steroid-pumped, meth-tweaked, gatorade-fueled, cracked out sprinter jealous.

I say to make it a more realistic 'stampede', XS gathers up all its DC players and we have our own little 'cookout' with all that beef that DPC brings
That paragraph above has "sig" written all over it! great adjectives!

    Dave,

A million a day is a bit farfetched, but 100k is a real possibility. Just need to get my adrenaline flowing.

Yeah, I remember that one. Never could catch us ( I'm an XPC FaDder ). When the project shutdown you were all, like what, 412 days behind us?

I'm with DDTung. Maybe it is time to turn my retired SC farm back on. Get a little neutralization going. Or preemptive neutralization.

Movieman, be my guest... I could hardly contain myself when I was typing it

Notice too that I only referred (or was that reefered ) to gathering up the XS DC players, I was not even thinking that the other general users may want to help kick some bovine rump roast.... I'll take mine medium rare

Yes, the million number may have been a bit off but it was more of a statement of what the consequences might be if they pissed you off than an actual number..
I'm older than you and these make-beleive wanna-be's got my blood up a long time ago..say about Christmas week and it's never come down.
If I had the financial resources I'd buy a warehouse and fill it with systems to trounce these clowns!

trashtalk all you want, but ill warn you not to get to the point to where all of XS takes notice of this and the competitive spirit gets going, or we might end up doubling your little "stampede"

take a look around these forums in your spare time. we have members with the fastest systems in the world here. if we were to get just 25% of the forums overall computing power, its gonna be a sad month for DPC

basically, its just like someone trying to wake you up from a good nights sleep

right now, this talk of high output has been just like someone yelling at you to get out of bed, that might wake you up, but you arn't awake

if they keep talking trash, its gonna be like someone walking in your room and turning on the light in the morning

    LoL!!
Talking all big about your own forum members. Seems like there are about 26.000 registered names in here.
Little info about Gathering of Tweakers: we're not unknown to the idea's of overclocking in the extremes. But did you know there's over 150.000 registered names in there?
If you _want_ to brag about something, do it with something you _can_ brag about.

However, if you _are_ able to get 25% of your board to help you, and thus render our stampede useless against you, all the more respect!
Let's just see what will happen next month, shall we?

Yes please shall we? But the difference with GoT (Gathering of Tweakers) is that GoT has a LOT of section going from graphics cards, to 3D to casemodding to overclocking to.... well lets just say a LOT (like I said I'm a GoT member and former cow from the TSC days. so I know a bit about DPC and a lot about GoT since I was a longtime member before I switched to Xs)

So I know the diversity that blooms in GoT. If you get 25% of GoT on it that will most likly come from the OC section and the 3D artists and the case modders/server freacks (such as I ). So GoT has more members but less interested members. We ont he other hand will draw people from :
    D2OL
    F@H if they can
    Xtreme Bandwidth section
    Xtreme OC section
    Xtreme 3D section
    Xtreme cooling section

so while you might have more people and more comps we can easily match the amount of comps because almost all our members have 2 or more comps... (hell I got 7 in my room right now with 3 running and one needing RAM and new case...)
plus I don't know if you remember from the D2OL soap with Gaol being under fire and DDTUNG for their massive outputs, but some of our big members (like DDTUNG, LBM (UCmajawski and Shmaa), XS The machine, XS VIP, Vietnam soldiers, and so on and so forth) have a LOT of comps under their flag. Ok LBM, The Machine, VIP, Vietnam etc are subgroups but still... I don't know how many comps LBM got so I won't speculate but lets presume it's a lot, I know VIP has got about... 30 comps I believe of which At least 10 DX's, some A 64's a few P4's this laptop and a few AXP's from back in the days also.
Vietnam soldiers, don't know exact but a LOT, same for the machine, and for a LOT of our members.

So could we please stop the smacktalking because thats not really helping our teams and just meet eachother on the Virtual Distributed Crunching Battlegrounds?

But be my guest to keep smacktalking if you want to fuel the fire more, oh please be my guest it'll make things very interesting for both parties
