DEFEAT the COLD BUG on the X1900XTX by Moding it.......

Remember my WR in 2k1 with the 55287 3DMarks?.......Forget it....!.....

It was done with the X1900XTX at 909MHz core and 922MHz rams due to COLD BUG problem and under a single phase change.....

NOW......How is it sound if we could voltmod it so as to handle up to -100*C (evap) and -76*C ATItool reading?......

BEFORE: At 4127MHz (dothan), I had a Nature 601fps.....
NOW: At 2970MHz (dothan - air), I have a Nature 626fps working the X1900XTX at 976MHz core and 972MHz rams (and haven't even found it's max yet).....

SO it might be between 636 - 646 fps when dothan goes @ 4127MHz......

Let's go back to 55287 marks score and ADD another 40 fps ONLY from Nature.....thas 40x20 = 800 marks more = 56xxx marks total.......Now ADD all the other tests too.......

Mods:
Startup VCore 1.35Volts (default 1.1Volts)
Benching VCore = 1.78Volts
VDDCI = 1.75Volts

There's ALSO a little "trick" about the rams which could give you about 30MHz more on air and 50 - 60MHz more under phase change....

I'll update as soon as I take some photos(maybe tommorow).....

Both of them are in the front.......50KOhms 25 turns trimmer and 10KOhms 25 turn trimmer.......

I don't think a "cold buged" VGA could handle THAT cold(LN2).....This one hardly can handle a -100*C idle(working the cascade at +psi not to go lower than -100*C)......

R410 gone due to expiraments on cascade.......First stage as is with R507 and second stage first tested with R410 so as to reach -70*C and test.....AFTER the R410 gas finished, I had to vacum once again and fill it with R1150.....

EDIT:.......Here Everyone try this........

SAMPLE Picture.....



1. Put VGPU Above 1.5Volts or as high as your VGA can handle.......
2. Put your MVDDC AS HIGH AS ATItool lets you, thas 2.482Volts......
3. Put your MVDDQ at ONLY 2.151Volts SHARP.......
4. Put your VDDCI AS HIGH AS ATItool lets you, thas 1.580Volts......

Now try to rise your Ram frequency higher than you used to and come back and tell what you've got or not........

This was tested on THREE different X1900XTXs with the worst of them gaining another 30MHz overclockability in rams.......
