    asus a8r32-mvp problems

    Hi,

I have this board, and at least 2 other people who bought the board from the same place have had some major hitching in some games like BF2, is there anyone here who is also experiencing this problem?

    Thanks
    Raja

Yeah, my BF2 plays fine for a few secs, then pauses for a few secs, then plays fine for a few secs, etc. etc ... Using A8R32-MVP from New Egg, BIOS 307, FSP FX700-GLN, X1900's in Crossfire, A64 4000+, 2GB dual channel OCZ EL DDR PC-3200 at 2-3-2-5, and a WD Raptor 36GB. Nothing is overclocked yet and all I installed were Windows and BF2 +drivers. All hardware was used previously in an Abit AT8 and worked fine.

How troublesome. I've been following that thread on OcUK, and really really would like to get a mobo this week from Scan (where I guess you got yours), but those issues are really worrying me.

Is there an official Asus forum somewhere? I can't seem to find it on the Asus website.

    Hi,

using cat 6.2, have not tried downgrading to 5.13 though. One of the guys has tried a 7800 gt in the board and it suffers too, so there is definatley an issue..............

I'm quite dissapointed at the moment, as the 0307 beta bios has already leaked, and at the moment does not fix the issue. I have no idea if Asus can fix this or not, or how long it will take for the 'fix' to arrive.

Stranger still is that none of the reviews have mentioned this at all, nearly everyone who has bought the boards has issues.......

    Thanks
    Raja
