    aw8=max fsb @340?

    hi forumers, hi abit support,

    i got a big problem with my aw8. my mb dont boot over fsb 340, also in uguru is a gab between setting fsb 340 and than fsb 342 (otherwise this setting is a 'one-step' (e.g. 335,336,337,338 and so on). so i cant go higher than 340 fsb, even with mch @ 1.7. i thinks its a bios prob, so i post it here.
    i use bios 16 with my 631.

    can somebody help?

    I have tested two of these boards as well and both were not capable of high FSB. I was limited to 300FSB on my first board. I have a link here somewhere and my second board topped out 330's.

    I have only heard reports of low FSB on this board.

    hmm do you know something about a fsb vtt mod? this is the option, the abit board does not have.
    but by the way, my old p5wd2-prem did only 330 stable, 340 are rockstable with the abit, but my cpu can do more (at the moment 5070mhz primestable @ 1.47V).
    and the main reason, why i orderd the aw8 is, that i can underclock the cpu to 2000mhz @ 1.3 when using a messanger for example and when i start a game, the aw8 pushes my cpu to 5gig. our electricity prices in germany are a lot, therefore it is worthwhile itself.
