    Opteron 146 CACJE 0603 FPMW

    I have received this new chip direct from AMD European Distribution Center in Schiphol-Rijk.

    After some fast test, and with TCCD and not very tight timmings, the chip seems to have a future

    It reboot at 3.2 Ghz, like my 154, but it needs more volts.

    Cooled by air.

    Tomorrow, i“ll try to do it stable. I expect 3.1 Ghz with 1.55 V. Water Cooled.

    2006 is going to be a good year for Opterons too!!!

    I hope my team colleague Lord, get better results with DICE.

    I just got a 148 CACJE 0552 today from newegg. I got to 250*11 on defalt vcore with no problem, right now I'm hovering around 2.9 @ 1.45v in bios so far its priming. I've had the chip in for about an hour now and I've gotten pretty far with little tweaking. I'm on stock air right now (waiting on a storm). I guess my chip doesnt tell you much about 06 chips but we do have the same revision.

    0603...

    I anxiously await the results

    BTW this doesn't belong in Xtreme Overclocking, put it in AMD next time.

    For the moment i haven“t done more test :?

    Just to say i could do a SS at 3.190 mhz, and that controller CJ seems to be not so good as B2 with TCCD. It is difficult to do it stable over 3050 mhz.

    Sorry I can“t say anything else.

    Where is the sweet spot on it, out of curiousity? I mean the point on the voltage scaling curve where you can get the most Mhz with the least volts, like 2.9 with 1.42 volts or something.

    Ok, got myself an Opteron 146 CACJE and wasnt hoping to achieve more than 2.7-2.8 outa this chip, from what i've seen posted here.

    First attempt:

    146 CACJE @ 2700.88 MHz / Air Cooled / Prime Stable
    Mutliplier = x10
    HTT = 270
    Voltage @ 1.5 BIOS (Burning it in, might be possible to lower it)
    CPU Temp = 31-33c IDLE
    FSB = 270
    RAM = 180

    Update: Dropped CPU Voltage to 1.475 and upped HTT to 290

    Currently running:

    146 CACJE @ 2920.88 MHz / Air Cooled / Prime Stable
    Mutliplier = x10
    HTT = 290
    Voltage @ 1.475 BIOS (Lowered from 1.5v)
    CPU Temp = 33-34c IDLE / 40c Full Load
    FSB = 292
    RAM = 194

    Seems like i have room to hit the magic 3ghz mark and possibly more Seems like 2006 is a good year

    P.S. New to the overclocking scene too, not bad for a first try eh?

    i wonder if there are 144 CACJE's yet.

    My last CACJE 148 did 3.0 ghz with 1.52 volts prime stable.

    but it died in an unfortunate accident... let's see if these 060X's live up to their hype!

    I'd still take a CAB2E over a CACJE, all other things equal.
