What do you guys think that’s the maximum secure voltage for daily use on a ninja with temps lower than 65ºc… 1.6V I’ll be ok? What’s the maximum recommended voltage.. Since the board doesn’t have vcore droop mode the voltages @ 1.56v set goes to 1.46 under load… It’s safe then? If we see that @ 1.6v set the board could droop until 1.5v…
    Thanks

i use my aircooled 930 @ 4.2ghz and low vcore ,for 24/7 i don't like to punish my chip with high vcore just for 100 or 200mhz more
for me the max is 1.45v for a daily use

    Is the 1.45v regardless of temps??? I get 28c/36~38c @ 1.520v for 4.5Ghz???

Thanks JoeBar, I have'nt finished finding the "ceiling" yet with air inside a closed case & ambients of 26 C, which is what we typically get this time of year here in Sydney.

Today I did this @ same Vcore 1.375:

These benchies were only done to find the upper stable limits @ 1.375 Vcore under heavy load. To get the my ulitmate score, more tweaks with other stuff would have to be done but you get the idea.

As far as temps are concerned, I don't run any software utility for temp monitoring while benching, they just get in the way if you know what I mean.
As I type this I have folding@home client and several internet associated programs running in the background at 4.52ghz and Gigabyte mobo utility is indicating 49-50 C at CPU. Current ambients are 25 C.
Signature? are you kidding? with new stuff coming out every day, why bother ?

My old trusty X800 XT @ default clocks, now if only I had a X1900XTX...

Update today & stable to run 3 benchies under same environmental conditons as before ( system totally enclosed in a case with ambients of 25 C)

At last, Futuremark is now publishing scores for Cedar mills.... after me complaining on there forums last night...

I love the CPU score in this, I think its pretty good for single core cpu with cheap performance air cooler using warm air....

PcC12iminal, Cpu-z is not reading Vcore properly, in bios its set to 1.47. Its always been a bit out, even the Gigabyte software untility can't read it properly.... unless I'm mistaken that its the dreaded Vdroop !

But today, the ambients were 27 C and this is the best PCMark04 score I can get with current rig and old X800 XT vga on air and warm air too.

I'm still working on getting PCmark05 and 3Dmark06 to run stable at above 4.9ghz on air.

OK, SuperPi_mod1.4 1Mb suicide shot. Around this clockspeed the dreaded Vdroop starts to really kick in...
It was not easy booting the system at this setting, at first - no go, so I turn off for 5 mins then ok to boot.

Signature? are you kidding? with new stuff coming out every day, why bother ?
