    X1800 Xt 256mb!

Recently found an E-Tailor (OcUK) doing this card for dirty cheap, so i sold my X1800 XL and gathered the funds to get it, and i have to say, it's a cracking card despite the 256mb!!

It looks identical to it's 512mb counterpart!

Not taken it off yet, not gona be doing either untill i get myself some new AS-5 seeing as i used it all up on my x1800 xl

I'm finding it hard to push anything more out of the card, i'm at 1.575v and it's only getting to the 740mhz mark with the core, memory is fine i think, just the core that's letting me down. Anyone got any advice with the core or some tweaks i can try?

How can i get the bios from the card?

atiflash, and i think ATItool will allow you to copy the bios from the card.

My x1800xt 512mb hits 740, 1.5, so you may want to cool it a bit better.

nice scores BTW...nice to see the 256mb ram fly as well as the 512mb...hopefully meaning it's really all down to the chips you get.

Does this have 2d/3d modes like a normal 512mb XT or is it like a normal XL? (just curious as to the differences between XL and 256mbXT, for example if it does have 2d/3d, is that all in bios or a difference at hardware level?)

    It has the 2d/3d modes

It's identical to the 512 XT in everyway, except 256mb
