165 in from Monarch, and i was surprised...

I ordered this over the weekend and guess what they're still shipping???

I just got back from class and put it in. First stop was 300x9 with stock volts, still priming (1.31v).

Here, 30 minutes of prime, CPU has been in for like 36 minute
This is on air, my ACFreezer 64 Pro

I hope you dont think this to be stable on priority 1 testing?(no offence)Still looking like a solid piece will probably hit 2900mhz range.

I've tested priority 1 versus 9, the only difference is i can still use my PC without lag when it's on 1.

Alright whatever, i'll re-run with priority 9, just to be that much more impressive

I remember with my X2 @ 2.85 Ghz i got the same thing, and then i showed them this http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...g/a5ce43db.jpg
    and everything changed

Yup, but priority 9 will find error alot faster than priority 1 will.

I used to use 9 but lately have been using 1. Just because it's 1 doesn't mean it won't fail. Remember Hellion, XS is Xtreme Systems not Xtremely Stable.

Chip looks very good for the price.

    Well put dogsx2!!

    Working on 2.9, core0 is a b1tch

Seems to work with 1.45v, but core0 errors as soon as it hits 48c, and there's only so much my aircooling can do, i tried 1.475 volts and of course core1 goes higher, but the temps ><

You've got a very close batch # to my 3G'er.
    Only 3 letters/numbers different.

I think it would do 3 but i need better cooling, 49c load is killing me, not even using 1.5 volts yet.

This is the most i can do right now, i'm working on more, need time

Leave your room window open and go sleep on the couch. And see how far it'd go on stock vcore (auto x auto, which will probably be 1.312V on CPU-Z). In order to find out an Opty's potential, you don't need to raise the voltage at all. See how hight you can achieve without any voltage adjustement. The max will probably be that plus 1.5GHz ~2.0GHz. The exception being two cores being extremely unequal. I've seen a core 0 failing 2.6GHz and core 1 rock stable @3GHz. Hence it's rated 165..

    i think you mean +150 - 200 Mhz

It does 2.7 on 1.31 volts easily, i clockgenned to 2.75 and it ran for about 10 minutes and froze, so i think with like 1.34 it would do 2.75. So the max is in the 2900 range, i think it could do 3 on water

That proc OEM or Retail? Monarch just shipped my 165 today... I bought the retail because for some reason it was cheaper than the OEM this week.

It's very surprising that the steppings/batches are so similar to mine, but I picked one up locally. Where is Monarch's warehouse? I live in NYC area (North Jersey).

It's with Big Typhoon. Some chips run cooler than others (IHS contact varies)
