    It's up in the air... since they are so new, there isn't much data out. From what I have seen, they've done quite well, but that's only based on a few reports, and I can't even remember where I saw them

    As with any OC, it's a matter of luck!

    1st letter means nothing but the week day the processor was assembled:
    UPMW = thursday
    VPMW = friday
    You were not supposed to see this.

    Hello Opteron Lovers!

    Just got my first load of 170's for a set of machines I am building.

    I did a quick search here for this stepping/batch but didn't find alot of info. .

    = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
    OSA170DAA6CD
    CCBWE 0551UPMW

    1392568L500XX
    1392568L502XX
    1392568L502XX
    1392568L505XX
    1392568L506XX
    = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

    I have four still to come from two different sellers, one pair from each. Here are the codes one seller has given me for the two I bought from him (didn't arrive yet)

    OSA170DAA6CD
    CCBWE 0550 UPMW

    1387434L50XXX

    I only really need five at this time so some will have to go back. I can't rip open these boxes (yet) and start testing so I was hoping that someone here has been playing with a CCBWE 0551UPMW and has hit 2.6GHz with not too much problem?

    Ahhhh hello eva2000, we meet again (think it was mid 2004 we last spoke!)

    Throw a shrimp on the barby @1.7vCore for me!

    Yes I just left my P4/Ai7 one month ago and walked into the A64 camp for the first time, scored myself an Opteron 146, and was so impressed I thought I would buy the company!

    I'm needing several FX-60-ish machines to flog but I trying to speculate which batch of chips to keep and build with.

    Any feedback on your dual-core experience, like is it that hard to achieve 2.6GHz 24/7 prime stable with these batches, or do I really need to get the rights ones?

    Have to update my sig, because that config is totally unstable. core0 refuses to go higher than 292x9, no matter how much volts. So I run it at 1.375

    I got a 170 0551 UPMW from the recent Monarch deal.

    Right now I have it at 1.39V core and 2500 MHz. Not too shabby it probably has more head room.

    PClark99 your the man! I am awaiting your results, give it your best shot!!! (I got five of those sitting next to me sealed, not sure whether to pop them open yet!!) I'm hoping you can get 2.6GHz 24/7 stable. . . . .no pressure though

    Well, I am still running at 2500, however, I have dropped the voltage from 1.44V actual to 1.34V actual and it is absolutely stable.

    sounds good!

    Have you done any torture tests yet to check stability? because I am getting excited at the prospect that your overclock may be *truely* stable!
