/nod I could get better speeds from it under phase, temps just above cold bug. Maybe yours will have no cold bug though, never know until you try.

yeah, give it a shot, and seeing results from the same week, stepping or batch num. will help us figure out if the bug has any patterns that we can follow. Great work guys! thanks!

All right, I'll give it a try within a month more or less.
Wanna see what he can do. Couldn't go over 3410Mhz with my vapo, so wanted to see 3.5G at least...

So everyone says the CAB2E's Cold bugs are bad, but how bad and is this consistent enough to generalize? I guess once I get my single stage up and running I'll see what mine does...

Well then can {e.g. stephen} post a sticky with the list ?

Yeah that would be really nice, i am attempting to get enough info together on the bug so that I can post some general rules and/or expectations based on stepping (if it is stepping based) so that people will know, I just need to do some more research so that I know the information is accurate.

From another thread about FX-57s, Dumo says that his info most likely applies to all San Diego cores:

    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...0&postcount=42

Nothing newer than week 0533 though.

You have to narrow the temp.range on cpu core.....single stage around -20C to -15C or probly -50C evaporator temp.
Cascade will yield -50 to -68 cpu core temp.
Dry ice temp. range from -30 to -45C.
Most San Diegos will run ok with single stage/dry ice @ high htt, but it will stuck probly around 240 htt with cascade.
Venus/opteron still a mystery with cascade, but for my 150 cabne0528 theres no problem with cld bug @-94C evap. or -50/60ish cpu core temp. Probly the memory controller was set differently...
Ricky's tweak or ACPI Multiprocessor tweak will help tame the cold bug in most SD/Venus, but it will put a tremendous heat load to your cooling. Especially with high vcore.

I couldn't really say unfortunately. I've only owned the one 0543 chip and I can't recall seeing anything else about how they handle the cold.

Here's hoping that yours is a good one though.

I've seen a few -0543's on here under some type of phase, but finding info on this stuff is like trying to find a file at the IRS....

I would like an answer on that question too

I think both the KAB2E, and the KAB3E are hardly bugged

    VERY bugged unfortunately.

So much so that even some water setups in airconditioned rooms are bugging them.
