    Question [help] nforce3 + 2x1gb pc4000 = ...???

    hi there..

i've got some problem here, regarding my team xtreem kit cant push beyond ddr510 memtest stable..

tested switching the winnie with venice, tried on 9nda3+ and neo2 plat, still fails.. the only thing i havent tried is on nf4/ultra-d, coz i/my friend dont have the board

im still unsure whats the limiting factor.. either my kits a dud, winnie/venice mem conteoller limitation , or nf3 mobo limitation

as you guys can see, im using neo2 with mod bios.. tried sideeffects 1.c-std, tccd and ballistix eddition, all a no go..

i tried followed gigi77's timing, also fail to go beyond ddr510
here's the loosest timing i can set in bios

anyone besides me and the_joker[on neo2 plat + opty] having this prob?

    Hi e-jump,
Have you considered using a pre-1.9 bios as i have found that after
the 1.8 bios they are not as stable.I use (180NFM Rev.3 1T) for sandiego only to force 1T on memory. I have G.Skill 2GB HZ PC4000 using samsung uccc and have it running stable at 270mhz 3-4-4-8 1T @ 2.6v with drive strength set to weak in bios.If you use your winne i would not go above bios 1.8 but if you use your venice bios 1.8 should still support it.With my bios being a modded bios it give a change log with the memory timings altered so you could try and set them in A64 Tweaker. Here they are:

    MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum
    BIOS Rev.3

    - Based on v1.8F BIOS

*** This is a special San Diego Edition, therefore 1T Command Rate always will be enabled.
Use it only if you have a San Diego processor.

    Changelog Rev.1:

    - Fixed divider issue, trc = 12 clks & trfc = 18 clks on all dividers
    - Read Write Queue Bypass = 16x
    - Bypass Max = 7x
    - Idle Cycle Limit = 256 clks
    - Max Async Latency = 8ns

    Changelog Rev.2:

    - All hidden options are now available

    Changelog Rev.3:

    - trrd = 3 clks
    - twr = 2 clks
    - trwt = 2 clks (trtw in A64 Tweaker)

The above settings will be always applied by default. Make sure you test these settings
with "A64 Tweaker" before flashing this BIOS.

Don't know if any of this will help at all but it's worth a try. Good luck and happy clocking.

yes...but i can only use a bios which supports dualcores...so...

i dunnu if its good for stability to set timings in A64 tweaker but
i hate that i cant set the Idle Cycle Limit in Bios...

I've used the Balistix version and it sucked with this UCCC $hit.
Now iam back again on the official 1.9 coz the 1.b modded was unstable
    even @250

i have to wait for a new board any DFi will help me to get those suckers
up to 280 iam pretty sure

    btw....this ram loooks so amazing,

guess im at more disadvantage , as im on older winnie with lower mem controller performance

i dunnu if its good for stability to set timings in A64 tweaker but
i hate that i cant set the Idle Cycle Limit in Bios...
yeah, gotta agree on that.. prefer all possible settings to be available for us to freely tweak..
sideEffect will try his best on that [as he said]

found a site of neo2 bios compilation...
    http://www.msi.sploitz.com/
someone i knew juz got a neo4-plat.. maybe i'll try my rams on that board this weekend..
but for now, i'll try all possible bios +___+"

btw, if with dFi, i think u can go as high as Gigi77's

    yes the 1.9 bios

    with auto Timings (3-4-4-8)
    only 4M i will try 8 or 16 l8ter...
    2.8V dimm

u tried to change ram sticks?
    Tried 3&4?
U installed windows new when u got the sticks?

if 260 isnt sable try 265 or 270 maybe with other timings u may get it
stable...275 was only stable with tweaking(in A64Tweaker) 280 is stable without

did u already try the 1.9 official? u can set timings with a64tweaker,
    i also done this...no problem..
    hope this helps

    Talking

    CONGRATS dude

u tried to change ram sticks?
    Tried 3&4?
U installed windows new when u got the sticks?
yeah, tried 3&4 .. but whatever it is, gonna try it again..
cant afford to reinstall windows.. currently doing some mini project

if 260 isnt sable try 265 or 270 maybe with other timings u may get it
stable...275 was only stable with tweaking(in A64Tweaker) 280 is stable without
dont tell me u juz bypass memtest..
i'll give one last try with memtest, and burn-in it.. if its a no go, i'll just depend on A64 tweaker

did u already try the 1.9 official? u can set timings with a64tweaker,
    i also done this...no problem..
    hope this helps
nope, not yet.. will give it a try..

i'm gonna give the uccc one hell of a burn-in, hope it wont crap out

how do you burn in? programm? how?

hmm... its SuperPi stable but that says nothing at the moment
it isn't prime stable, so its no stable at all......thats pity

in german forum they do ~280 and we only have one reseller

but well, try the 1.b and maybe u'll get 270 or something similar

    good luck dude

i burned in with memtest, set to the htt with the fewest error and run it at 2.8v for few hrs
    -----------------------------
    Nooooooooooo!!!!
    im stuck at 257 >__>"
no matter how low i go on multi and ldt, on deviders, 257 is max ...
and it wont respond to voltage...
someone mentioned 1.8 and below is good for winnie, and i dont really like official bios, as i cant loosen some of the timing, thus only able to post/boot at 260 1:1..
playing around with a64 tweaker in windows also a no go.. pc reboot when superPi 4M at 260
guess im the unlucky ones, having a not so good combo

whatever it it, i'll try the rams on neo4 tomorrow

    -----------------
    just tried bios 1.9 .. i cant even Pi 1M at 260 =__="

Man, this is absurd... 3-4-3-8 with my UCCC on my MSI Neo2 Platinum I can pass Pi32MB @ FROM2.6vTO2,8V FROM245Mhzto260Mhz BUT I Couldn't PASS MORE THAN 10+ Houres at Prime95 with ANY <-- timings\voltages I have tried.
