How would 05 do without that X2? better? worse? i know 06 loves dual cores but i'm not clear on 05.

AMR must have a dualcore at or above 3400mhz to do anything in CF on the rd480 chipset. CF is like 25% more cpu dependant that SLI.
Also his runs where stock image quality NO LOD tweaking apps and 5.13 drivers not the 6.2b's, Those things make his results per cpu mhz all the more impressive.

Ram timings make 0 difference in 06 and almost nothing in 05. I've testedThat setup definatly needs some extreme Winbond chips and FX60.

Also these runs are on a 2" tube brazedto a 2.5" base. He can run 3500ish with a mousepot. Dualcore or die for 03 05 06. At 2.9ghz on my 165 i blow away 3.4+ single core scores especially in the CPU tests.
