The ADP3181 is functionally similiar to the older ADP3180. I do not know if the entire pin out is exact, but I do know that the CSSUM (pin 17) and CSCOMP (pin 18) on both chips are the same...and thats whats important.
The Vdroop can be modified by connecting a VR between pins 17 and 18 on the ADP3180/81. I do not know the value of the VR, you will need to check the resistance between these 2 pins to figure that out.
Also, you will want to solder the VR pins to other spots on the board versus trying to solder to the actual ADP3181 IC. This is the same thing we do on the P4C800 boards. Do a "short-circuit" test on the board to find places that are directly connected to the these pins and solder there. It looks like there are plenty of solder pads available above the chip...this is very good as that makes things much easier, and avoids the risk of cross soldering (bridging) other components together during the mod.

Someone just needs to take a resistance reading to verify what value the resistance needs to be.

Okay, must i check the resistance between pins 17 and 18 on the ADP3180/81 when power is on or off?
When i check the resistance if the power is off, then i have an resistance @ 200K at the circuit analyzer of 129 - 133K.
When the power is on, the circuit analyzer show nothing!?

That mod looks ok. Try using a 50k VR and adjust it until there is no droop between load/idle. Setting the variable resistor to 28k has been found to be the best value on most boards, but it could be different on this board.
@ persivore & Calderbrae: if i test the solution with an 50K vr could i damage the board?
@ milen_bg: do you have test the solution?
When doing any mod, there is always a risk, but using a 50k VR shouldn't damage the board.

So Dudes,
i did the VDROOP-Mod with 50K VR @ 45K Ohm!
Runs very great! The Mobo does only a very little droop!

Any chance of you posting a picture of the mod?
I have the same board, and I just bought myself some watercooling.
I would like to test it out on the board with a pressy, and the vdroop-mod would be very helpfull to get the CPU stable.
