    1,488 (CPU-Z) was 10x290 > 12h Dual Prime (possible less VCore)
    1,584 (CPU-Z) was 10x300 > 17h Dual Prime (possible less VCore)

Right now i`m on 10x300@1.550 (CPU-Z) and past the 3h mark for sure ... so does not look bad at all

Btw ... i know that there are at least 3 batches of so called "Wafernumbers" around ... (Down Left, 7 Numbers + 1 Letter) ... so it could also depend on that how good the 0550UPMW in your hand clocks

Wanna see something really interesting (i could take some pics at the location of my retailer) ->

    Opti 170 0550UPMW Batch 50193

    Opti 170 0550UPMW Batch 50193

Just compare them .... both are 50193´s - but from differnt waferset´s , that could be the reason for some low and some very high clocks ...
so how do we know which is good and which is bad??

    any thoughts

The differences is in the 5th/6th/7th digits, i.e. we have either '434' or '396'. ThorLite has a 434 which also seems like a nice chip (yes i see he is on phase). Pete@X, would you mind telling us if your chip is a 396 or a 434?
    Hiya ...

    Hi ...

heard from some 396 which top ~ 2,8 to 2,85 GHz .... so - if you want one ... really make sure you get a 434 !

    atm my x434x50357 is 3dmark (03 & 05) and dual prime (both small & large fft's) stable, at 2850mhz 1,375 x 110% (ITE SG reports 1,45v properly around 1,5 with the dmm) and 2800mhz 1,375 x 104% (ITE SG reports 1,37v properly around 1,4 with the dmm).

i have removed the ihs and it's cooled by cnps 9500.

I'm loving that you got those results with a CNPS 9500. What are your ambient, idle and load temps? I have a 165 and a 170 on the way....... both CCBWE 0550 UPMW!!

I modified my retention element on the mobo, so I could mount my Zalman 9500 with studs through the mobo- just like a waterblock would.... knurled nuts and all.

My ambient temp is 21 degrees, idle is 31-32, load is 46-48 with 1,37v and 50-52 with 1,45v, but my zalman is only running at 7v.

But the sad thing about the cnps 9500 is, that its too heavy then its inside a case so it wont make contact with one side of the core, stupid mounting thingy.

    From Sweden.
    Just ordered a 170 0550 from trendpc.

Now I just hope it works well better than my 3800+ x2 so i can rest down and be satisfied with a 3.0ghz
My 3800+ does 2747 but at a high vcore of 1.712.

I also was curious of the opterons in how it is from a normal athlon 64 so it be good to test it.
I get back with results when I get it.

I received my 170 0550 UPMW today, batch number 1387408L50589 and it's dual priming at 3.0Ghz @1.36v now!! The IHS is still on so that's what you should expect if you have a single stage phase change On watercool or air I can see this chip doing atleast 2.90Ghz with slightly higher vcore but I only intend to run on phase change This stepping is amazing!!

nice results, im getting a 0550 umpw batch 408 also, i hope its as good as yours! do you think on air youd be able to hit 3ghz? i mean youre at stockish voltage...

408 is a good batch, it will most likely hit 3.0Ghz on good air but the IHS "might" need to be remove, this is the best dual core I've ever get my hands on. I'm going to keep lowering the vcore and see what happen.
