    Exactly...the MB does NOT behave the same way for a failed memory OC as it does for a failed CPU/Hypertransport OC. In the case of ram, one of removing/reinserting 1 or 2 sticks of ram into same/different slots and/or clearing CMOS with the jumoer and/or battery are your only options...just like in the good old days of Barton CPUs.

    Sorry but your wrong. I've had many failed mem overclock attempts with the same ram as you OCZ PC3200 1024MB EL DC Platinum Edition. When it doesn't post I shut off the sys from the power button. Restart and keep pressing "Insert" key and it boots and prompt's you to enter setup by hitting F1.

    OK... will try the "mash on insert" next time...I'm sure there will be a next time,
