Sup people!
Soooo... Here we go with another of bachus' OCing adventuresThanks to njkid32 I'm now a happy owner of some monsterous Opty 146 and with Chilly1's single stage (almost 1yr of heavy duty service so far...) they make quite duo! Check it out...!
--------------------------
After I got this Opteron 146 (yeah, one and only CABNE 0530APMW!) it turned out that it runs quite warm. Much warmer that my other SD - 3700+. It did not stop it from doing almost 3.47GHz in 32M but I knew that taking an IHS off will guarantee some extra gains! So, next up was a razor blade...
Here it is, topless and in all its glory
BIOS temperature @ 3580MHz 1.71v
Action shot, before we begin...
What would you say If I showed you SuperPi 32M @ 3580MHz!? I had some problems with getting my TCCD to work with me for this run of 32M, so I switched to 2x1GB of Corsair TWINX2048-4400PRO, based on Infineon CE-5. I will re-run this bench later with TCCD as I want to catch up with coop's 20:39 on his godly Opteron 148
All benches were done on Windows Server 2003, with "multi-processor" tweak . It's was neccesary for running >350HTT. That's why temps that MBM is showing at all times (from -8C to -13C) are actually LOAD temps...
... and SuperPi 16M @ 3580MHz as well!? This is with G.Skill PC4400LE.
I've been doing those test for the period of few days... How about 2 hours of SP2004 SmallFFT @ 3500MHz!
In the mid-time, some Sandra CPU benches @ 3500MHz
For those that think SmallFFT is a piece of cake, here's 2 hours of SP2004 LargeFFT 1024-4096K (1850MB used) @ 3500MHz!
Another stop for a quick bench - Sandra Memory Bandwidth @ 3500MHz/DDR500 5-2-3-2.5-1T
While I still had this 7800GTX 512MB here from a friend of mine and waiting to be vmodded by me, I ran 3DMark2001 and 05 @ 3530MHz! Video card clocks are 620/1920, no vmods yet and stock cooling...
For about 30 minutes this was a major PIA to run at same CPU clocks than the rest of 3D benches so I decided to make a bigger drop in Mhz. Here we have 3DMark2003 @ 3460MHz!
There...! This is it for now, folks. Hope you enjoyed those results. I did
Next stop, DryIce... Maybe some time next month
