Stock volts, thats very impressive! These GS are the best bang for your buck cards available right now.

Does anyone know what brand afireinside's card is? It beats alot of 7800GT scores i've seen.

Probably XFX. Best binned cards out there. However 550/560 on stock cooling/stock volts is very hard to obtain unless you live in antartica with the windows open....

Guys, could somebody post up an XFX BIOS V Mod? I changed stuff using Nibitor, but my bloody FDD died, so I can't test it...grrr...

this is insane, I just saw the results for the first time. On the stock cooler/volts I ran it at 530/1.22. What are you're temps? Can you guys actually game without any artifacting or glitches at those speeds?

Some serious LOD tweaks I would imagine

    My watercooling experience

    Water
    Scythe Gentle Typhoons 120mm 1850RPM
    Thermochill PA120.3 Radiator
    Enzotech Sapphire Rev.A CPU Block
    Laing DDC 3.2

Bitspower fittings + water temp sensor

I see what I see, and you see what you see. I can't make you see what I see, but I can tell you what I see is not what you see. Truth is, we see what we want to see, and what we want to see is what those around us see. And what we don't see is... well, conspiracies.

    To compare.
My x800GTO Fireblade 12p does 6.6k 05marks on stock cooling W/O Vmods, and it lil cheaper than 6800GS.

yeah, but you shouldn't forget about the $800 cpu @ 2.9ghz, that should match a 3.2/3.3 san diego...

anyway, that's one hell of a score with that GS afireinside =)

Well, i guess i can leave a result or two... XFX 6800GS xXx All Stock, Volts and Cooler (Even the crappy thermal paste)

    3DMark06: 3037 @ 535/1296 (I don't believe ANY ram will do 1400 without mods, it's 1.6ns ram, not 1.4ns...) http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=17045

    3DMark03: 14353 same speeds, http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=4530795

    3DMark05: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=1662821 Did 6600 but i haven't published yet...

Results are all Single-Channel... Tuesday maybe i'll voltmod...

EDIT: RIDDICK that last bench, it's just funny... You've got some serious Tweaks/LOD going on...

EDIT2: If you want to voltmod at least present some "decent" results, this is from a friend here in Portugal

http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=1615789 He says 8K are easy... (Thats Single-Card)

This is just the first test on my everday unoptimized no tweaks machine.
My X2 3800+ running at it's everyday speed of 2.6ghz.
Will try it on my bench rig later today. Probably with my FX-60
Single XFX 6800GS vgpu mod at 1.6v (still room to go )

EDIT: One more thing, NO LOD tweak. And 100% air for cpu and gpu (Zalman).

That's what i'm talking about How are you cooling that ? Air ? Water ? (If air with what...)

I'm gonna try 1.45 at first stock cooled, if i don't like the temps i'll give it a try with the VF700 i have around here somewhere...

These cards are really sweet... Beating the GT's/Ultras most of the times...

100% air for that run. The stock cooler on the GS has been replaced by a Zalman.

When you got the Zalman didn't loose any overclock on the mems ? I have a VF700Alcu here but never tried it on, a friend of mine lost about 50Mhz on the mems so i tought it would help much...

The AGP-versjon is NV40.. and a "crippled" GT with 12x5 pipes.
As far I've been able to check the AGP version of 6800GS doesn't even come close to the PCI-E version..stock as OC'ed (and not much of a "clocker-card" either)
    Mine XFX 6800 GS max'es out at 410/1080 and a little over 5k i 3DMark05.. this with a Dothan@2.73GHz..
I was a bit disappointed with the scores.. as my X800Pro easily outperforms this (in the same and "slower" rig).
Didn't help much to unlock pipes.. probably mostly because one pixel unit was giving artifacts="damaged".

Riddick, i recomend MAX 1.6Vgpu if you are using VF700Cu.
I have 7800gt@stock cooler@1.5Vgpu, and it goes ~80C under load.
My second card x800GTO Fireblade@1.55Vgpu@stock cooler does ~75C under load.
Still i recomend to go for mooded aftermarket CPU cooler if you want to overclock a lot.
