    Opteron 170 CCBWE 0550UPMW

    Just received this beauty this morning.

    Stock vcore is 1,3 and look what it's doing atm.

    hot $hit man,,, nice stuff,,, I need 1.58v to hit 2.65ghz with my opt170 and I cant even get core 0 to stay stable at 2.7 with 1.63volts,,,

    Nice! You may even be able to squeeze a little more out of it at stock vcore, my 0530 will prime for days at 2750 with voltage set to Auto.

    hey magic what kind of cooling are you running? you try taking that chip up past 2.7 with some more volts yet?

    i swear to god its like i have the only 0530 dud chip.. i mean its not a dud but its not this! i cant hit 2750 @ 1.534v!

    If i only run Small FTT test on SP2004, would memory have ANYTHING to do with it failing? or just my cpu being a

    you are not the only one , mine apears to be a dud as well... did not test very well , I don“t have enough time , but I think the problem is memory related.

    demonbane23: A shop in denmark. Dont know how much higher it can go, Im having exam tomorrow and the chip arrived this morning at 9.30, just threw it in and it booted with my 3700+ settings 295x10 no problem, but with 1,52v so i changed settings for the current.

    K.I.T.T.: Im using a Zalman CNPS 9500!

    wait you booted this chip at 2.95ghz with 1.52 volts???

    did you try to prime at this speed,,, im sure the zalman can handle 1.52 volts....

    thanks alot mate...

    yes and no didn't do anything but i forgot to clear cmos so it posted at 2950mhz at 1,52v didn't go into windows, sorry will try more this weekend or next week, I kinda feel like I once again have got a lucky chip

    Terrordemon - if you are concerned that your RAM is stalwarting your OC attempts, loosent the timings and put a sizable divider on it.

    i have a feeling its a shaky set of ballistix that is messing with my OC and stability not my CPU,,, not sure if loosening them would help though,,, guess its worth a try,,,
