I dont even think people will buy x1900xtx that much, because it's just a few Mhz in difference from the x1900xt.

$720 is actualy a good price, since it's a lot better than the 7800 GTX 512mb, and the GTX costs $750 or more in most retailers.

Im sure the price will drop to $600 or lower when the g71 releases so it can compete. If the r580 comes before the g71, they will probably leave it at around $720, so they get some money from people who were thinking about paying $750 for a GTX 512mb.
They could also decide to lower prices fast on release, fearing that the G71 could jump in the race with a verry nice price and performance ratio so that people buy x1900s before the g71 releases (which is smarter IMO)

umm, also since that price is Japanese won't it be a bit less here in the USA?

like $600 seems rather high, I know the relative performance is good but usually when new stuff comes out everything drops down a notch rather than just adding $100-200

    $550-600 for X1900XT
    $420-500 for X1800XT
    $300-350 for X1800XL

    ??? *wishes*

Which is pretty much a waste of time.

If i converted the price of what my X1800XT cost, you could also buy a 512mb GTX in US Dollars.

ATI's biggest concern here is the X1900XL, seeing as if priced $100 above the X1800XL at around $450, it will be able to overclock to a level where it will outperform the X1800XTPEs in the market.

Don`t pay too much attention to the price. Japaneese market has very high prices - like EU does. So as usual americans will get the lowest price on the planet

Yes X1900XT on sale...and like nothing else too. Thirdy Party promise of availability before launch... Three great links over here: http://www.nordichardware.se/forum/m...-vt131579.html

Here's the one you need to see: http://buggy.nu/index.php?a=search&c...in=&price_max= .

I've found NordicHardware to be a Great site...its like a hub for hardware happenings in Europe. Those prices are pretty high for Europe, but thats the norm there. The cheapest GTX 512MB is 6300 SEK...so you should be able to buy an X1900XT cheaper than that, which is no comforting matter I'm afraid
