    FX-60: 3DMark05@3.3G

    I got a FX-60 yesterday, CCB2E 0548SPMW.
    <img src="http://222.151.185.181/c-board/file/FX-60_CCB2E_0548SPMW.jpg" />

    By water-cooling, 3DMark ran completely upto 3.1GHz@Vcore=1.665V,
    and by LN2-cooling, it can run upto 3.3GHz and got 3DMark05: 17564 score.

    <img src="http://222.151.185.181/c-board/file/3DM05_17564_FX-60_3.35G.png" />
    Vgpu&Vmem modded 7800GTX512(SLI)@695MHz/1.93GHz by water-cooling
    using ForceWare-83.10 driver.

    My FX-60 has cold-bug, so I kept temperature of copper container at arround -60 deg(C).
    I need to find more suitable temperature and Vcore...these results are my first, one-night trial.

    More details and screenshots are here:

    That cold-bug is rubbish; only 200MHz of improvement under LN2... it suxx
    Anyway, congrats for the work!

    Cold bug or not I'm sure some of these chips would really benefit from dropping the top

    Nice runs Kyosen, thanks for sharing your results

    the ln2 is not important here as he was only trying to maintain a temp of -60

    little more then a single phase

    Not to mention it's a dual core chip and that's a 500 mhz overclock on the high end part. Not bad at all!

    I think a single phasechange will bow
    My freinds vapo LS @ +8 deg C on CPU with a FX55 at 3570, and a dualcore makes even more heat I assume :S

    a 55 claw would have to be at 1.84v to reach that 3570 so heat output would most likely be higher on the 55

    You're right; but it was because of cold-bug; so my post made sense

    Hi Kyosen,

    Try to lower FSB and raise the multiplier for higher clockspeeds. I was able to run FX-60 @ 3466 MHz when I used 17 x 204 MHz settings (Dry ice cooling).

    maybe its a trick of amd, so that the heavy overclockers need to buy some more cpu's untill they found one without coldbug
