All tweak are applied at once, that's just a basic .reg file entry. You don't need to go through registry and change any values
are you running these on a dedicated benching drive..........i guess what i'm asking is can they be reversed aside from manually changing back.....and is there a need to reverse them after benching is done

what exactly are you tweaking there and how does it exactly imact on performance....have you actually got some proof this tweak works

I always have those tweaks + many others applied, they're integrated into my unattended, mildly modified Windows install.

There's no need to reserve them back, I'm 100% positive that they won't hurt your performance or cause any problems, although I haven't comapred pi scores between normal x64 windows vs. tweaked x64.

Some of the tweaks are taken staright from Server 2003, the main purpose of those tweaks is to maximize usage of RAM while minimizing usage of HDD. That is really important for good pi score.

I always run 16k couple of times first, let's say you run 16k for the first time and get:

    1st run: 0.203sec
    2nd run: 0.203sec
    3rd run: 0.188 sec
4th run: 0.177 sec (aha, and now you run 1m or higher Xm calculation)

When doing that superpi app is freshly loaded into the RAM and ready to be used (It's like a template in a RAM for a app), you have to act quick.

I suspect pi doesn't put quite the load on the processor that 3d does and the cold bug trips quicker giving rounding and converg errors

hehe..I will run on a fresh install of 2k3 fully tweaked and optimized for superpi "as good as I know". 4gig Sub 20's should happen...I hope
Im also playing around with some ramdrive apps...
.2-.3 sec in 1m and maybe 2-3 sec in 8m is all I need.

you might look at a gigabyte iRam. 4 gig drive using ddr ram. with an sata interface!

4 gigs is plenty of room for a benching install and those things are FAST!!

fake edit: you can even get 2 and put them in raid0 for 8 gigs of ULTRA fast hdd. if i had the money i would do this... imagine the speed!!!!! booting windows in like 9 seconds?

Without IHS the cold will be directly on the die. Instead, maybe look at that thing OPB had. Its like an all copper IHS thats thinner than the regular IHS. Sub 20's on an FX will be near impossible. 20's might be acheivable, especially if he can run 14x 286, but that will be near impossible. Maybe 15x 265.

will work on xp, x64 xp and servers, server 2003

That's only 2.47kb. Unzip it and double click on .reg file, press yes to apply them and reboot. PM me if you want more.
I've never tweaked my reg for pi... How much do these help? I want to try these but I have no bench setup ATM, are they safe for a 24/7 gaming PC?
