Can i just ask dumo, as its quite confusing, when its a 182 does it show up as dual core, from everything ive seen screenshot wise it seems not to but everyones assuming it does.

Nope, it stays single with 182 or 150..

If I send you the cpu that just started working in single channel, do you think you could put it on cold and make it work in dual again or make it like the 150? Is cold the trick or are you keeping that info to yourself?

I'm not sure if cold can cure them ....Even this 150 still reverted back and forth beetween 182/11 multi and 150/12. The only thing that stay is 1mb L2 cache.
Eventualy I will run it with air and see if it cured

It seems to happen with Opteron single core mostly. Must be something related to speed binning process of this san diego core.

Well, after a few days with cascade I can be pretty sure that this Opteron chip is free from cold bug

Heres with htt 270 1:1 @ -95C evaporator temp...



Here.....on its way to 500 cpumark and 3.8Ghz Wonder hows Opteron 154 will scale..

Is there an easy way to tell if a chip has the cold bug aside from putting it under Dice/Phase? I'd really like to know if my chip has it before putting money into a chiller/OCZ Phase when it comes out to have it not boot on me.

So far it stays @ 1024K and multi max @12X. Only cpu string on cpuid changed back and forth between 182 and 150.



273@-92.5C ...Opteron 154 on the way...seems like golden San Diego can be found in Venus core not FX...I hope.

No Xpert after my experience with RDX200...Its Ultra-D A02...When I get Opty 154 this probly will go back to the original owner
