    DFI Rev. AD0 Ultra-D/Sli-D/Sli-Dr..........

As you all may or may not know, DFI's Rev. AD0 is the first revision in which there has been a major HW change. In past revisions, DFI claimed they were the exact same boards only shipping with different bioses. I just picked up a Rev. AD0 Ultra-D and there are obvious physical differences this time ......Here are a couple of pics comparing the older Rev. AA0 Ultra-D with the newer Rev. AD0. I'll run some comparison tests later:

    Rev. AA0:

    Rev. AD0:

Note the numbers in the first pic:

    1. The value of this mosfet has changed
    2. The orientation of this voltage regulator is changed (OPB reports that the measure points on this IC aren't the same as before)
    3. The cap here has moved to a new spot

Also, the the Rev. AD0's seem to have changed/upgraded at least 50% of the capacitors located around the pci and memory slots. Initial reports have the Rev. AD0's outperforming all prior revisions. More to come........

Where did you pick this board up? I just received a SLI-DR from NewEgg and its AB0 rev.

On 11/13 and 11/23 I had a rma and bought another Ultra-d from Newegg. Both mb's are the new revision. There is a difference in the HTT. Both boards will do 400+ while the older Ultra's I had would only do around 340/345. I don't want to change mb's like I did before I got them.

it's not that as much as improved power regulation that'll probably allow your ram to run a wee bit better

you should be able to break that

not stable, but this is the max of my 146 + dfi nf4 A.C0
    http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=46609

445 seems to be rock solid. i'm pretty sure it's a cpu limitation, not mobo, as chipset and ldt voltage don't do anything for it.

It looks like the 'MOSFET' which has been replaced/re-orientated is the Vtt regulator, so DFI might have tried to sort out Vtt on this new rev board

Edit: Can someone get the part number off the new Vtt regulator.

hmmm $135 for a ADO Ultra-D from the egg is very tempting.

Chop chop on the ADO vs Expert comparison!

It's on a sticker that's located behind the PCI slots. You'll only know once you get the board in your possession.

Speaking of the new revision- anyone seen it in the NF4 SLI-DR's?
