Not much I think.
I'd say it's a bit high. I don't like to go over 1.65v even on my vapochill, so...

GSkill F2-8000CL DDR2-1000 2x2GB

you're asking for trouble .....not saying you will defintely find it but you're looking![]()
temp at fullload is under 50C

I wouldn't go higher than 1.6. Preferably less. Keep in mind, using high voltages like that WILL significantly lower the lifespan of the CPU.

most stop at 1.65. cuz most of the time more volts wont get ur primestable clocks higher anyway.
but i dont know if 1.75 is too much for 24/7 - my sandy ran fine up to 1.92v on wc and took no damage whatsoever.
so id say 1.75 is not really much.
remember that we used to run our athlonXPs with 2.0-2.2v 24/7 and that didnt kill the good ol 130nm chips.
so 1.75 on 90nm shouldnt be an issue i guess... as long as the die temp is <48°C
hehe, back when ocing my duron600 i asked a friend "but wont the higher volts lower the lifespan?"Originally Posted by 003
he was like "yeah, sure. from twenty years down to ten."
and from what i've seen in the meantime he was right.

Youre shortening it's ifespan exponetially with Vcore like that, 1.92 should be enough to kill it on the spot, youve been lucky. Plenty of 90nm chips died on 1.85v very fast even with good cooling.Originally Posted by Der_KHAN
That's really not a good comparison, I'm not putting diesel fuel in my car only because I know it does work well with diesel engines. WTF man.Originally Posted by Der_KHAN
And volts kill independent of temperature, dont be spreading false information.
im just spreading information that i gained by ocing 5 generations of cpus
yeah, all my athlon xp got 2 volt or 2.1 volt,
but now on 0.09um i dont know
ps. hast du icq?

Well I guess you can take the risk if you like, but the optys don't like high voltage like that. If it dies, don't complain!![]()

Get in and drive it that's what i do for the first few days thats it.
Once its broke in a bit <1.6 is all it should take.
Without better cooling you may be asking for it![]()

Got a fan over those memory sticks? No? Well get to it before you kill them
Well I was thinking about donating my FX57 to your cause, but then I remembered that it doesn't like to boot @ >1.76Vcore. Too bad....Originally Posted by ozzimark

But I read over your post again and please enlighten me if I've missed anything......This is what you posted and correct me if I'm wrong, but you're clearly giving advice which could lead to possible damage to someone else's HW.....
