WOOT! MM's Ballistix live up to their former WR Glory!

I spent 4 days burning in and fine tuning these babies and finally got one of the best results!
Sorry for not having time but it is 26m 39.713s(forgot to resize window)
Wow after 4 days seeing these numbers makes it all worth it!

Sadly this may be the last runs i do @ these speeds as for the FX57 wont be in my possession for much longer.

How long in this death territory we talking? I've been running em up there for about 3 months now. I'll take it down a notch now that i know wut their max is. They did 250 2.5-2-2-5 real nicely @ 2.6v.
BTW: these were of the older batch since they are bout 3-4 months old and haven't died.

3v has caused many pairs to start producing errors at much lower speeds/voltages in just a matter of months...no risk is certain though...

Very nice set of ballistix. Give tref=200 15.6us a try, might be better. Only way to really check if it is stable is to run D2OL 24/7.

Nice to see someone else having a good set as well.

Will have to see how much more room my set has. Unfortunately I'm limited by my processor -- X2 4400+. Sure would be nice to have an Opty to play around with. How much longer do you have the FX-57 ?

BTW: What hardware are you running?

    Very nice eBoy0,

Yesterday i recieved a pair of ballistix tracer from rma (didn´t tested before cause they came defective).

This is the max i can do for now:

I have 2 questions about this memos. Putting 2,9-3v only for benching can be considered safe?

& does anybody know if this new batch of ballistix could have the same problem? I always listen that the old ballistix didn´t have any problem.

    Thanks guys.

noice, mine did 290 3-3-3-8 w/ 2.8vdimm, spi 32mb stable, shame they have now deteriorated cause i recon they would have done well if i had higher voltages avail to me.

Never had a problem with 3+V on mine. Granted, they topped at about 260ish with stability (i may have a e MCH though) using 3V. Just keep them cooled and you'll be fine. I had a second set of ballistix before that was better, but unfortunately got ripped off...

GL dude! I'm running a FX57 w/ raptor raid0, a NF4 SLI-DR, the ballistix ofcourse, and a MX440 for now until GTX sli gets back from vmods.

It depends really as you may have noticed the failure rate on these sticks has went up drastically, luckly these sticks are way before that, for benching i'd say 3.0v is O.K.

    Hehehe

Nice to see some people positive about this crap memory... I would suggest you keep it under 2.7 volts if you want a long live for your memory...
