Is that the highest memory speed seen on a video card ?![]()
The card is a BFG7800GTX 512OC, with a cascade evap on the gpu, and nothing *bare naked* memory chips
No Vmods were used, as they do not improve at all the overclocking.
512MB @ 2106Mhz

those clocks are insane man! did you try to put some heatsinks on them?
link to ORB?

AMD Phenom II X6 1055T
Kingston HyperX 2x2GB DDR1600
Asus A5770 1GB

Holy mother of cow :P
link to the ORB is in the pic
I'll try to install some heatsinks tomorrow, aiming for 2200Mhz, for now, I'm stuck around 2160Mhz, with a few artifacts
I really need to vmod the gpu, 640Mhz is awful![]()
Saw those clocks in your other thread, that's fricken sick man, highest I've ever seen anyways.![]()

For sure but (no offense at all) I've seen 5.9GHz P4's before...but not 2.1GHz Video card memory.Originally Posted by Hicks

that's not a 5900Mhz P4, just a bad detection of 3DMark, I dropped the multi form 15 to 14, and the orb considers it's still x15![]()
I agree with the VDD mod doing nothing. 2.1v is perfect for these chips. Even though your memory chips are "bare" you need to acknowledge that your cascasde cooled GPU is removing a lot of heat from the surrounding PCB and BGA chips. Awesome overclock though...I am going to push to 2000Mhz with my pair of BFG cards tonight....as soon as I remove my VDD mods

Right, my bad...saw that listed in the other thread. Still...not bad at all.that's not a 5900Mhz P4, just a bad detection of 3DMark, I dropped the multi form 15 to 14, and the orb considers it's still x15![]()
That is a really nice mem clock you got there. Go for 2200MHz, never seen that
I get about 2150MHz @ 2.32V singelcarded with the stock cooler on (with aditional fan). Higher then that would just give me lower scores.
My SLI results and latest air cooled results is without modded memvdd. Got problems with lockups in the last test of 3d05 with memvdd mod.

Got any screens of it...I swear I hadn't seen anything in that/this range before...but I do a lot of posting when I should be asleep...so I could have missed something here and there.Originally Posted by Kinc

stok vdd is 2.35V on my board, I've been up to 2.45 and only gained some artifacts :d
tomorrow, I'll put the heatsinks and some Delta to cool down the chips, they're not so cool, even with the cascade![]()
Nice, hope you see some gains, we'll be waiting.Originally Posted by Tyrou

Are you sure about that? Might want to check that VDD again...Originally Posted by Tyrou
Stock BFG 7800gtx 512mb OC cards VDD is not 2.35.
Check measure again.
Nice, 2100+ on mem. clk.
Hehe, see what I mean about the 1.1ns ic's.![]()
could be the highest but what about timings?
I'd wrather have ddr1 1.5-2-2-5 1T @ 270mhz than ddr2 at 5-4-4-8 at 350mhz
No I don't. But I may have some old 3d05 savefile. That was an early XFX GTX512 card. I will look for it when I fire up my rig on air tonight.Originally Posted by Cornelious0_0
The reason why we aint seeing much over 2100MHz is probably because that you gain no performence from it. Atleast from my tesing SLI sweetspots around 2050 and 2070 for singel.

Cool, thx...you really don't HAVE to, but I'm sure people would still appreciate seeing it.Originally Posted by Kinc
Of course if you're not gaining from it (or at least much) beyond this point of 2,050MHz then I can understand not posting it. Kinda like how I could lower my 3000+ Venice's multiplier to something stupid like 5x and crank the HTT...and had my ram running at like 800MHz...or so I thought, bugged out the memory controller with the low multiplier.![]()
double-checked my measurements, but it's still 2.35V with the mod disabled, that's weird![]()
well, 2.35v certainly explains the higher "stock" memory speeds
Yeah, it would...I wonder if there's still something "sticking around" from the mod...or if the card's ram was just given that much extra juice out of the shop...strange.Originally Posted by freecableguy

I just pushed my VDD up to 2.32 for a little fun. Seems they run just fine at 2000Mhz effective (haven't tried more yet but I have a feeling they will go higher). I need to install my PCP&C 1kW unit this week as my 510 SLI can't hack it when playing games...the CPU and 2 GPU's OC'ed is just too much for the PSU and eventually it freezes the system after going through this lag stage (sometimes it crashes to the desktop too).

I use shamino's mod on my board, either with the pot set to 100K or without the mod, I always have 2.345V under windows, growing to 2.45 when using 3D. My multimeter is not going nuts, neither do I
I can now bench up to 2187Mhz on the memory with some heatsinks on the chips, I'll now go for the 2.2Ghz
