LOL now now Tim, lets not get all sarcastic.

Aussie, it was announced quite a while ago that the FX-60 will be a dual core...the surprising thing is how well it clocks for a dual core proc.

So what are the main differences between the FX60 and an AMD X2 4800, apart from clock speed and unlocked multiplier?

I believe we saw that when the X2s came out...mem bandwith (and hence 05 score) is higher with divider + mem at cas 2 instead of 1:1 and mem at cas 2.5.

Maybe I missed this, but does somebody know when the FX60 will be available for purchase?

The FX has better silicon. So it usually clocks better. And having better silicon is not a small thing either, while most san diego's out there get around 2.7-2.8ghz the FX57 hits around 3.2.

guess, well then 77.78% of ur samples are doing 2.9ghz or better.. pretty dam good to me on air cooling. I can count the number of X2's on one hand that can do that.

So, the launch date is still Jan 10th? But I'm hoping that the inq is wrong. If it is released earlier, there is still hope for me to get it.
