WTF is everybody so worried about?? What he did is perfectly fine. Water + electronics = OK. Water + electronics + power supplied = BAD. As long as everything is dried before power up there is not a single problem doing what he did.

Water + electronics is not okay IMO. The problem is not conductivity, but corrosion. Water has this habit of seeping into places that you think are dry. This is one reason why many people with sub-zero cooling use silicon compound in the socket; to protect the CPU pins from condensation.
