my best score was 7179 @ 3DMark05 with a X800XT PE and a P4 520 @ 3.4Ghz..

first i was playing with tec 80W on that gpu and got 400@495 with a score of 6565 got mad and connected the K-2

yeah, nice... but that's not REALLY an X800Xl, it's one of the newer ones with the X850 cores... the r480. The original X800XL is a r430 core which clocks MUCH worse than the r423 or the r480! My r430 went about 525 mHz core on DI @ -55C with a Vmod.

Of course I COULD be wrong... does it have a separate power connector?

Very nice, close to my old scores...I had 7,379 in '05 and 16,134 in '03 with my old rig...3.4E @ 4GHz and my X800XT-PE @ 675/640...single rad h2O with cpu and x800 in series in the loop...regular ambient temps. Made it up to 702MHz with that X800XT-PE on h2O with some voltmods, frick that was fun.

charlie sorry to tell you but you are wrong !!!
this is an Connect3d Radeon X800 XL with R430 core that I bought six month ago the newer one's with R480 called GTO2
and i dont have a separate power connector like the powercolor (i wish )

I didn't try on just water cooling.
the block is Swiftech MCW50-T Liquid Cooled Thermoelectric 80W
and in my test's it was alway's on ,that got me at best 495 with 1.57v

I, with about 1.55-1.6v on the gpu and with the card temperature at about 10°C, I can close a 3d mark 05 at 520mhz

with me temperature of the gpu at idle 2c full load was 36c water temp was about 23-25c
i didnt try ice water gone straight to the to the singel stage
