Question NEED HELP with OCZ Plat. Rev. 2 2x 512mg + opteron 146 -STability

    YEs, I read http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=57317

and with that help, i got

    BUT, I'm not stable.

I am trying to get the ram (ocz plat rev 2) stable first here.

The member poiuy223 ran it (this mem) on
    dfi ultra-d 623-3 and 3700 sd
    300htt@ 2.5-4-3-7-7-14-3-2-1-2

I am currently reading info on clocking
    http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/show...7&postcount=10
    and what it all is.

    One of my questions is:
At looser timing, will it only be stable at certain fsb?

As in, is it normal to get errors with looser timings at 200mhz, that can be stabel at 300?

    Any is deeply appreciated.

nope, those dont work, but thanks for suggestions.
is there a definite arithmetic ratio one has to keep with timings?

What I'm trying to do is get looser timings stable on stock 200mhz, and then crank up the mhz, will that work? or do certain timings work only with higher mhz?

    still no 3GHZ:300htt 1:1

    My big question

if the timings are loosened, is there a chance that it will error out at 240htt, but be stable and dandya at 290 with same timings?

Kohan, try these timmings. Should work.

If they dont work, loosen the Trc to 14 and the Trfc to 16.
If it still doesnt work after that, put the Trc back to 12 and Trfc to 14. Then set the Tras to 8 and the Trp to 4.

Also make sure to put the Twtr to 2 as it is in my SS. AFAIK TCCD doesnt generaly take kindly to a Twtr of 1.

For stability testing, I suggest a 100% run of Windows Memtest and then a run of SuperPi 32M.

Also try NOT running the cpu at 3ghz while doing that. Considering your on stock air cooling, your not going to be stable at 3ghz. I suggest 300x8.

I found the same thing with my ram. I can't run the same settings I've used at 320htt when running at 270htt. It seems to me like the "window for stability" is very small at whatever frequency you run at. Using loose timings a problem.
Tref value seems to make a big difference in stability.
