EDIT: Oh yea, that mobo was modded.. Vio/Chipset voltage could be cranked up to 4.2V, the northbridge was lapped and the Vcore caps upgraded.. Made a lot of personal records with that one.. Still beats me how it died.. No idea. It was during overclocking a weird Pentium2 300MHz mobile chip on a S370 adapter on a slotket adapter with peltier and water.. Shutdown and never woke up again

PC166 is hard to come by. I wonder if it's really that much better than good PC133.. btw the Apacer did 207MHz at cas 3-3-3 :P

Oh you have a finnish grandparent? Hehe cool, and also good luck in the swedish competition!
I had two but theres only one left.
    I just bidded on a BE6-II btw

This is my only 100% Overclock with a 1700+ DLT3c. Cooled with a Mach 1.. This is almost 2 years old

This actually made it on the front page of hardOCP even though other people had Pushed them higher

Try this, Ima let you in on something

    I still have #1 @ OC.DK

Yep, and I don't think I can beat that... next time I go DI, I'm hoping to get my 325J @ 5.3Ghz (109%), which means I'll still be way behind your 119%

    I had a i486-SX25 running at 50MHz about 12 years ago

It needed som high-end cooling though, a heatsink and fan! (Originally it had no cooling at all).

If you buy one get your soldering iron ready 'cause you'll most probably have to chance the capacitors

The board should arrive this week or early in the next.
BTW, what caps should I use?

Yeah, but im cheating really - most d1 1.6 xeons oc 100%, so its nothing spectacular. your close to a WR

Celeron 330J @ 3400. This was just quickly playing now that my mobo is modded I may throw it in again in the future to give it a good push.

Oh cool. I guess any brand name ~1500uF caps with at least 6.3V voltage tolerance are ok.. I put Panasonic 1500uF 10V huge caps on mine, ugly fit but it worked great (tualatin@ 1700+MHz), Abit sent me later some 1500uF Teapo caps that were physicaly more fitting..

The Realtek clock generator on BE6-II is great, with setfsb for BF6 ultra you can crank the damn board to it's limits, max fsb for the program is ~300MHz.. Though you'll hit a wall somewhere before that lol

There are some other helpful programs around for northbridge tweaking and vcore control up to 3.5V but i'll get to that later if you need it..

    Ok thanks!
Think you can mail me some links? (ckrook@gmail.com)

I bet theres a venice out there about to be put on this list, 57s I doubt it
I had a 1300 duron that would do 2100 but not too stable but thats when I knew nothing about ocing so It could have prob been worked out knowing what I know now, sold it to a friend, who klnows maybe one day Ill get it back and own it

    100% more voltage

We two other Duron 650s last year too, heres the Vcore on one of them

    http://swoc.mine.nu/swoc/Skinny%20Pu...4/DSCF0025.JPG

(That cpu sucked, not even 1100mhz with 3,2Volts and Ln2, THATS a crappy CPU )
    Couldnt even handle 3,4Volts, lol.
Well, it sucked so we decided to burn it

Edit: this will be me and crotale in a few weeks:

the default voltage of duron 600 is 1.65V while the max
voltage (reminded by amd ) is 2.1V

3.3V is just nice for 100% increase in core voltage
which meads 100% increase in clock

can we safely(....) say that apply to all processor.......?

    you'll know when it burns

ahhaa... so nice to find a good cook
    kidding

first sorry to be side line a bit, but think you the one
    that can answer:
How over voltage affect the life
of a cpu, where basicly it a (nice) bunch of transistor,
like for a duron(mogan) the suggested max voltage is
2.1 which you happily ran it to 3.3v .but how long does it last,
    and also at what temperature.
it's said (from intel ,amd) when over voltage given
that one will run into trouble even
if you have nice cooling (no temperature given), but isn't -50C
that you were running a bit more than nice .

so it's like at what voltage (10%?20%?100%) will the
chip be permatly damage(fried) no matter what at what
    temperature you are running.

there is a tread talking discussing about the issue
    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...1&page=1&pp=25
maybe you want to post it there ?
(I persolnally would certainly like this treads better)
