Me too ,but i hit with pata disk @ 129 pci-e when booting 283mhz FSB ,no mods ,so p4gpl-x not so bad ,bud need some mods especially Vdrop ,but nowhere I can find info on it.Same behavior when go direct @ 280 via clockgen freeze, but in small steps no problem.

    well,im doing 284 MHz 2-2-2 FSB:RAM 1:1 with my 780/GD1 setup.
    2x512 pc3500 Corsair bh-5 @ 3.83v with a "maximizer"

    Pi 1MB & LH stable.
So,this mobo eats very well high clocked BH-5.
Thou it needs 132 PCI-E and 1.97v Chipset to work like this.

Macci - go for it with your best KHX.This mobo can handle them.
And btw,if you or Stilt - find a way via WCPREDIT/WCPRSET to change some memory registers for this board - please share it with us.We really need it.

    ps.do not use a SATA Hdd.Just a regular P-ATA.

Better with a Highpoint PATA controler..........It can handle @ ~48MHz PCI......Though I think the new ones(SATA based) are both 33 and 66MHz compatible.....

    its the only SS left.

My maximizer its somehow like yours,w/o the Display Pannel.
Feeded by 5v Rail and sustain 2x512GB @ 284 MHz very good.
3.83v sharp. Not a single 0.01v up or down in load.
    Also,replaced the original C's (2x1000) with 2x2200 for the P4GD1 Ram's circuit.

    Question

Hey guys. I am very impressed with the performance of this. So I have to get one too. I see that you guys say to not use the sata. On a p4gd1 if you use the onboard controller that does not use the ich6 it would be the same as using a pci sata controller would it not?

    x1800 AGP
wondering if it would be faster with p4c800 than p4gd1+x1800 pcie?
maybe nature and 03+05 are *tad* slower because of lower graphics bus (8x vs 16x full-duplex) ?

However 16x PCI-e is barely any faster if not all faster than AGP 8x

macci, i can't remember if you've played with crossfired x800/x850 cards, have you, or anyone else actually tried to plug in a x850 crossfire with a x1800 based card? any chance it might work and boost scores an ok amount for semi cheap?

Look on the first few pages, he ran dry ice on both CPU and GPU

Kingpin> do the 7800/x1800 cards take a hit running at lower busses? I tested the difference between 4x PCIE and 16x PCIE on my dfi NF4 /w x800pro and the differences were so small they were probably in the margine of good/bad run increase. ~200 points higher in 01 and less than 20 in 05...

It seems that a lot of XT owners, including me, have problems with Ati tool beta9. It doesn't work properly, or doesn't work at all for some.

Now i wonder why Macci has no problems with it. If i take a look at his desktop pic (page 2 of this topic), i see Ati tool reporting 625/750 as default speed. Actual retail cards are showing 600/700 as default in AT. Retail cards have different 2d/3d speeds.
    Macci's XT bios is different?

The card I used in those runs was a press sample and has different BIOS. Card has only one clockspeed - 625/750, which is the default 3D speed for the retail cards too. ATITool reports the 2D speed w/ retail cards.
