    but it looks like that fear tweak did wonders for the XL...

    what was ur xl oced to?

    what resolution did u set it to, and how?

    1600x1200x32 in FEAR.

    710/800 on machine below.

    kohan here showed me that 1280x1024 is TOTALY playable with 4xAA , 16XFSAA with max settings using the fear1.exe mod.. pretty amazing..

    btw he accomplished this on a 550/550 clocked 16pipe X800GTO, along with a 2.3ghz venice and some ubercraptacular ram.

    well i cant really say that renaming the exe worked for me. what do you guys consider a playable framerate? if i go under 50fps my eyes roll back into my head lol.

    p.s. anyone else think that soft shadows need a little work?, it looks like they just set it to render the same shadow 3 times at various opacities
