    So much for that theory

My FX-57 froze up in no time. I guess the Expert isn't the miracle cure for the cold bug

If we only knew what EXACTLY is the cold bug (why and what really happens from very technical point of view) then I think some bright engineer could have been able to fix it. I think it was hoped (I remember Tony really did) that adjusting Drive Strenghts could fix the problem. Therefore with such a plethora of those options in BIOS, up to 15, it would help (It certainly did NOT help on other mobos). I guess, and I really thought that from the beginning, the theory does not meet with practice in this case...

but as far as i remember tony said that the colder your temps get the lower you have to set the driving strength values. so 15 would be exactly in the wrong direction.

Seems the laws of ThermalDynamics is causing the memory controller to fail, aka, cold bug. What area on the core is the memory controller located?

    But not today

On the other hand 3780 looks good.

    3D is with a stock X800 card, 500/500

can you do a bandwidth shot from sisoft sandra, at your highest speed?

    I'd love to see that.

The 3800MHz screen shot isn't a max screeny, who knows how high just a screeny could be. The 3800MHz was just the speed I was running trying to make stable.
I need some Graphic cards now.

Damn, I forgot to even install Sandra, a mem bench would have been interesting.
