32m Low Clock Challenge

I really tried to catch Steve's 1GB BH-5 run with my 1GB TCCD, but it's not gonna happen. With 2970MHz I get 4s above 24m mark. TRRD=0 would not help either... At least, I got a bit closer, though

Well, it took enough trys but did get 23min at 17mhz lower. Could someone with a cooling type that don't need constant replacement, see if any practical use can come from this. Will settings like these hold for max speed/lowest overall Pi run? I use ice atm, and need to replace it, plus can't get max clock with it anyway. [IMG]

Nice work

Well my runs were on air and the settings work fine for everything I've thrown @ it. spi, 3dmark, etc....

Just a quick question s7e9h3n but why are you giving the 57 1.65v to reach 2972mhz?

Mine would get up to 3070 at 1.5v or less....(on air).

I'm sure you can lower those volts just a tad, especially since you're on air.

Yours isn't finished.
Pull the window down before you start the run, it will display the complete calculation time and the checksum.

It actually is finished, but the windows just wasn't opened large enough to display the checksum and it's not possible to adjust the size after the run is completed

Unfortunately, you seem to miss the point of this challenge

You actually have to fit in right below (in your case) 27:00 at the lowest CPU clock possible to join in the party...

Hmm, aint got a CPU that runs 3ghz yet.. (waiting 'till 144's in the shops @ DK)..

But So far, dynamic = off?
and... WinXP 64bit should give a bit better result than 2003... Futher 133mhz 7.8 us or 200mhz 15.xx us gives a slightly better result as far as 32M goes, 1M 100mhz 1.95us r0x, but if reruned it gives a bit "unstable" time, which doesnt happen in a such large scale with the other settings I've written

OPB, any experiences on that one ? :P - Am I totally wrong, or is it correct? - Anyways, worked on my 2 different pair of GH

@MAXXXRACER, it does take some time I agree. 2m or 8m is WAY to short, imo, and would not reflect much. Which leaves 16m. Not too long really, and still requires some effort. If you started a 16m thread, I'd do that. I would think it would be more active than this one. Or, people who are able could save some time by running 32m in the 21'5X" or 22'5X". OPB??

@dfx, congrats, that is a very good time for sure. However, it may be more suited for one of the other SPi threads. Let me explain. All someone needs to do is run a 22min. time with less than 3450mhz to beat. Simple. Now, if you could get 1.6 seconds off your time to get in the 21min range, you will have something to challenge.
