    Tony,

One of the things that has me interested in this board was reading that you can lower drive strength and run 4 DIMMs in 1T and not 2T. I would really love to know if this is possible, especially with BH5/UTT RAM. Drooling at the thought of being able to run 2 gigs at 250-260 doing 2-2-2-5.

Any chance you could do some 4 stick tests for us?

Tony would you recommend going with the 4800plats or 2x1gb ballistix. I have my own opinion and got plenty of feedback but I want an experts opinion as well.

Your a OCZ guy but try not to be biased :P

I will have a modded vapo to work with -40s load and a FX57. I am hoping to be able to bench @ 3.7ghz dont want the ram holding me back..

I am 99% leaning towards the ballistix but another opinion or set of ram would never hurt. Based on my knowledge I picked the ballistix I do not really listen to all of the partisian opinions or flamers but some good honest advice never hurts.

I know nothing is guarantyeed and 3.7ghz is aiming high buts thats my goal for a SPI spable benchmark.

Ok tested VX, 267 is the max, no different from my ATI boards and my UltraD so im not going to bother psting all sorts of screenies for this one.

I did however test async and had issues, 1:1 was fine 180 and 166 over 300fsb on the cpu was giving me some minor issues, so im reporting this to DFI and moving to the next dimms. This will be a minor bios issue so don't all freak out here

it ran fine at a lower clock so i will say yes, I was running 333x8 with the ram 183 and it was flakey, 166 was flakey also. This with VX BTW.

Its just register issues, so a fresh bios will have that all fixed in no time, plus it may just be my board etc...so im not worried at all about it.

Async is fine it seems with my venice, maybe just an opty issue although it was there on my 3700+ also.

I have had 3 cpu's in here now with no issues, i use manual vcore settings though at all times which just may be the cure/workaround...

async seesm fine, I also have a new bios under test

Im getting a -2 version of this to release also.

    One last thing.

Do NOT flash eXpert bios to old NF4 or old NF4 to eXpert

    IT WILL KILL THE BOARDS

My 1st post !!!!!! Hi Everyone

Hey Tony, I finally got SLI Enabled ,the board is working flawless. Did you have a chance to see how your temps are doing bios versus windows i'm running 250x11=2750 with my SD 4000+ 1.47v My bios shows 27C but in windows everest, smart guardian shows 45C i'm sure it's not running at 45C, this same cpu was running at the same speed on the SLI-DR at 37C in bios and windows. Just curious what you have observered. Thanks

Just got my eXpert this morning. Within the next week I'll finally be moving from my aircooled Northwood & 9700Pro to a watercooled Opteron and 7800GT. It'll be so nice to be able to crank up the details again

This guy says it all ----->

As far as I understand, OPB's board never got to the bios at all, it just killed his cpu's.

Hi all, first time posting here. Got an Expert board and a question.
I was testing new ram running memtest86+ from BIOS, esc'd out to bump HTT another 10MHz and rebooted.
Insteadof getting back into memtest, the darned logo appeared!
I went back into BIOS right away only to find everything was set back to default in BIOS.
Can you tell me what happened there? I never saw that happen before.

    Exclamation

Yeah, this is one of the things I want to know aswell since I have 4 sticks of BH5, would be nice to run them in the eXpert with CPC on.
BTW any reports yet 'bout what is actually causing some CPU's to die? Heard something 'bout a high squeeky sound when plugging in the ATX cable, which is a symptom the CPU has been fried....
