Bigtoe's first look at eXpert from DFI

Now I know WWM has a thread but a few asked for me to start a fresh one.

So...had the board 3 hrs or so here on the bench, first ram in is TCCD, rebooted the board 15 times from warm and cold and had no isses. These are my settings for 305fsb 2hrs test 8 looped stable, im still pushing to find the max but this is a good start for you all.

OCZ4800Plats, 2.8Vdimm or so, CPU is Sandiego based E4.305x8

Next ram in is the 4000EB once I max this 4800 out

PS, I know the timings are different on memtest, i use the advanced option from memtest to tighten up as i test, the only changes to bios were the TRP at 3 and TWR at 2.

They are monster overclockers, hitting ddr650+ on my modded ultra D.

I went for the 5 day shipping option, so I'll follow the news here and learn whatever I can about my impending arrival =)
I had the fastest 32M Opteron time for about 1/2 day, and I'm damn proud of it

    a few things I want to know are;

does it run any cooler than the non-expert NF4 especially with dual core?

    AND

when are stores getting stock on the 2GB EB kits (a little off topic I know)?

Thanks Tony! WWM's thread is dead anyway (prolly along with his board! LOL)

Would you happen to have an X2 u can throw in there? Say a 3800+ X2 maybe??

Also, what are you using for cooling right now? Air? H20?

    Appreciate the bios shots.

Thanks Tony, soon I will obtain this board too.
Have you discovered some improvements of the memorysettings like drive/date strength compare to the non-xpert?

I'm interesting about your future tests.

Are the SATA 1 & 2 channels still unlocked???? Or can you actually USE them on this board now while overclocking?

Its better than the RDX200, I have a feeling they reworked something as both this and the RDX are near identicle from the chipset up but they clock a lot differently.

It seems a nice board, reponds to vcore well and vdimm. I will know more as i test all the dimms over the next few days. For now its working well for me.

Well the only mods i will do are to unlock all the vdimm options and maybe tweak the board to be boot friendly. It will be tomorrow now when i pull the bios off at the earliest.
