1.7v on air is really asking for trouble. But the way it burned sounds like poor IHS contact. I mean even Preshots dont do that. Heck even the old school athlons didnt do that.

AMD becoming like intel can't handle volts.. I miss good old days of 2.2 volts though tbred no problemo.
my fx-51 took 1.8v fine for a few months...then i killed it trying to take the ihs off...(ceramic cpus crack when u do this!)

lol. I haven't been on here in a while. I underestimated this new chip. My venice likes volts around 1.7v I didn't come on here to get flamed. the way I do things is start high and work down. some start low and work up. we are just different.I learned a lesson the hard way and I encourage you all to do the same.
